September had to be the quickest month of the year! It seems like every other month has been so slow, but suddenly September came and went and now I’m eating Halloween candy as I write this.
I’ll probably be eating a lot of Halloween candy over the next month since it looks like trick-or-treating may not happen, but I’m still decorating a bit, and we are buying my son’s costume on Friday.
My top is from Aritzia, and believe it or not they actually have a whole section on their website labelled “Puff Sleeve Blouses”. Who would have guessed? They do have a great selection (probably the most I’ve seen other than Zara), otherwise other stores have had maybe one or two items to choose from.
My only complaint is throwing a sweater or jacket over these puffy sleeves is a little more difficult and creates the need for a good steaming to get rid of the wrinkles, but on their own these sleeves are so pretty.
I live in jeans and sweatpants. Dresses are only an occasional thing for me in fall and winter, so having pretty tops like these make me feel a little more dressed up than usual. Especially since I have nowhere to go!
It’s hard to believe a year ago I was hanging out on a Disney cruise with my friends and family. It feels like so much longer than a year. We spent Thanksgiving at our favourite restaurant in Magic Kingdom – Liberty Tree Tavern – having an amazing meal and the best day ever. It’s funny to think back to being on a cruise and in Disney World with all of the crowds. It was a world away from now.
Anyway, no Disney this year, but we will have a little turkey all the same.
