Whenever my son and I head to Canada’s Wonderland we start planning a couple of things on the way up to the park – what rides we are going on, and what we are going to eat!
Funnel Cake is always a must (even during Winterfest when it’s cold!), but there are a few things that we love eating at the park. I wanted to round up a few things that we recommend whenever we go, and the next time you head to Canada’s Wonderland make sure you try a few of these!
Our favourite place to eat lunch or dinner at the park is one of the newest – we love the Lazy Bear Lodge! The food has all kinds of great BBQ favourites like roast beef and chicken, corn brean, stuffed peppers and potato wedges.
The Grab & Go Market is the perfect spot for something healthy! You can pick up fresh fruit, salads, sandwiches and wraps, and you can even find Halal, kosher, gluten free and vegetarian options.
Alpen Cheesery has gourmet Mac and Cheese that is big enough in one serving for two people!
Manchu Wok is at the front of the park, and it’s worth the walk back to pick it up for lunch or dinner. It’s so easy to walk and eat with it because you can eat it right out of the box!
Caribou Crossing has in my opinion the best burgers in the park! I love the area in the park it’s in as well because there is some great seating. They have Muskoka chairs scattered to relax in nearby, and there is lots to see from the vantage point of the restaurant as well.
Now for the best part – the snacks!
We’ve been eating the ice cream sandwiches and cookies from the park for years – they are delicious! The ice cream sandwiches are made with fresh cookies, and even just the cookies themselves without the ice cream filling are very good. We pick them up from the Cookie Café!
Sugar and Spice Pastry Shop has candy apples, macarons, cupcakes, cookies and so many other treats! The cookies on a stick are soft and are big enough to share.
Tiny Tom Donuts is a must-have during any trip to Canada’s Wonderland. Not only is it fun to watch them being made in the conveyor belt, but they are always served hot, fresh and delicious!
There are so many more great things to eat at the park, but these are our favourites. I also love when each festival comes to the park so we can try some of the limited edition meals and treats. Every visit includes Tiny Tom Donuts and Funnel Cake, but we always try to sample something different at the park!
