How was your long weekend? Ours was pretty busy! We spent most of our playing tourists in Niagara Falls. Our son loves going there, so we headed down to the Falls with the rest of the tourists to hang out. We took a cruise on the Hornblower to see the Falls up close, we had a big dinner at Brasa, and we played games on the midway on Clifton Hill.
We were lucky because we didn’t run into any major crowds or line ups – it seemed like everyone actually arrived the day we were leaving! When we checked into the Hilton it was funny because I suppose the clerk thought I was a single mom spending the weekend with my toddler because he upgraded my room, offered a late checkout, and gave me a free movie rental so I could get some “me” time. I didn’t really realize until I walked away that all of his commentary was geared towards my big weekend alone with my son, but it was nice of him anyway!
Here we are a day after the long weekend, and I keep forgetting it’s Tuesday! I’m so glad to see a bit of sun after the rain we saw this weekend.
I wear sunglasses pretty much from the moment I step out the front door in the morning to the very end of the day. I don’t just wear them when it’s sunny outside – any time I’m outside I’m wearing them.
Another reason why I love sunglasses? If I haven’t done my makeup I can just throw them on and look a little more polished! When I do my morning school run I often haven’t had time to put makeup on yet, so I throw on my sunglasses and I’m ready to go!
I have to admit, sometimes when I get my hubby to take a shot of my look I often throw on my sunglasses since my face isn’t exactly “photo ready”. Sometimes it’s just easier to have them on then take them off.
These new Prada sunglasses are from SmartBuyGlasses, and I have to admit I spent a lot of time of their website choosing the frames I loved most. They had so many of my favorite designer brands and styles. I couldn’t choose a favorite!
Prada always seems to have the most comfortable and flattering frames for me, so these ones were easy to choose without ever trying them on!
I did have the option of uploading a photo to virtually trying them on as well. They also have a section with reviews and ratings of each product, plus they have prescription sunglasses and contact lenses as well.
My new tassel bag has been waiting to bust out of my closet so I finally broke it out, and these cute pom pom sandals paired perfectly. I love the style of them – they are so cute. These are all a few of my favourite things for summer!
