This is going to sound strange, but some of the first words my son recognized and tried to read when he was younger were the signs of the stores I often shopped in. Winners was one of the first words he tried to read, and everytime we head to the one close to our home he says “are we going to Winners?”. It’s so funny! Not so funny when he started telling my husband when we went, because then my husband would start looking for the hidden bags around the house!
My little guy is heading into SR. Kindergarten this year, and I have to admit that I pride myself on making him a stylish little toddler. Although I totally understand that kids clothing gets a little destroyed at school, I just can’t help but send him in the good stuff and let him wear it out! I only have so much longer when I can dress him without him making decisions, so I’m going to take advantage as long as I can.
Winners is my go-to for most of my son’s clothing. They always have an amazing selection of Ralph Lauren (his first ever outfit at the hospital was Ralph Lauren, and he’s been wearing the brand ever since), and the prices at Winners are so much better than other retail stores!
I picked him up this classic checkered Ralph Lauren shirt for only $19.99 and hooded Ralph Lauren sweatshirt for $34.99.
I paired both with these Tommy Hilfiger khaki shorts which were only $19.99. I love buying him khaki shorts and pants because they dress up his look just that much more. As long as I have a good stain remover I don’t mind putting him in lighter coloured pants and shorts!
Next up my son chose his new shoes for back-to-school – these fun high-top sneakers! They were only $39.99, and I had him practice trying them on in the store to make sure he could do it on his own. He’s not quite ready to use laces yet, so the velcro was perfect. We have purchased SO MANY of my son’s shoes at Winners – they have the best selection of shoes with velcro that are stylish for kids!
Finally to finish my son’s back-to-school look we chose a backpack and lunch bag. There were already racks of backpacks at our local Winners last week so there was lots to choose from. We chose this camo Puma backpack for $19.99, and the matching lunch bag was only $9.99,
I thought it was really cute to see how excited my son was to show off all of his back-to-school gear from Winners! He was so proud of his outfit, and I know it’s because he’s excited to go back to class. He loves school, and can’t wait to see his friends again!
Winners is full of all kinds of back-to-school gear from clothing, backpacks, school supplies and more! I’ll have another post to share next week on what other supplies I picked up to get my son ready for class.
Items in this post may have been provided to me for review, but all opinions are fabulously my own.
