I think it’s pretty clear to see if you follow along with me that I love to shop! I shop so much that I need to find ways to afford to keep this little habit of mine going, especially as the weather changes and I need new additions to my wardrobe.

With spring and summer upon us I’ve been so excited to shop for and wear some fun new looks, and this past week I had the chance to put together a couple looks from Giant Tiger. Giant Tiger has recently launched three new lines sold exclusively in their stores – lily morgan, mySTYLE, and acx Active. All three lines are affordable, and to me that translates into buying even MORE clothes! Most people would just save that extra money, but this is how math works for me – save more, buy more!

I decided to shop my local store Giant Tiger in Whitby to put together a couple of spring looks, and I love what I came up with!

This romper is the perfect fit, and anyone who has shopped for a romper before knows that finding one that works for your body type can be hard. I bought this one in a size small, and I love the pattern. I paired it with a pair of gladiator sandals and a bucket bag I picked up as well on my shopping trip.

My floral sundress paired perfectly with these fringe booties that I love, and I picked up a matching fringed bag that was just my style. I love wearing boots with a skirt, and I thought this look would fit perfectly into my wardrobe.

Toddler Holiday Style

Vacation Ready with IFME

I spend more time than I should shopping for this kid, but he wears everything with such a stylish attitude that it’s hard to resist.

We are heading away for a sandy beach vacation next month so my shopping for him has been ramping up a little more than usual.

With the promise of an ice cream cone (“a BIG one” he demanded), we took some shots of one of his favourite outfits with a cool new pair of shoes.

I’m not sure what it is, but he loves this palm tree print top from H&M more than the other tops in his closet. Maybe because it reminds him of being on vacation? That’s why he said he loves the T-shirt as well – he said it reminded him of the beach. It made me want a couple shirts with palm trees on them for myself!

His shoes are from a brand called IFME. They have shoes for both babies and infants which have a functional insole so the foot is allowed healthy arch development, and they also have a technology called MOFF which stands for Marvelous Oder Free Fiber which keeps kids feet odor-free. The insole is even removable and washable!

I love these shoes because they have the breathability of a sandal, but keep those precious little toes safe at the same time. I cringe every time my son trips in his sandals or stubs his toes when running full speed outside, so these shoes make me feel a little bit better.

They also carry running shoes as well.

I think it’s official – my kid is much more stylish than I am. Hopefully he can teach me some of his moves so my next style post for myself will look a bit more put together.

Weekend Market Shopping Look

I’m not exactly sure what happened this weekend, but it started out warm and sunny and somehow we ended with cold and snowy!

Saturday morning was still a little bearable, and I had a bit of time in this easy weekend look.

This look started with these shoes from Novesta. I chose the canvas colour for these shoes because I thought it had a nautical feel to it, and I wanted to wear them with bold navy and white stripes, or a pretty white dress like this one.

Novesta makes classic sneakers which are handmade in Slovakia. They don’t use chemicals or glue in the assembly of these shoes, and they are actually environmentally friendly shoes since they are made with natural rubber, 100% cotton and linen.

Each shoe is handmade, and I thought they were really fun and comfortable to wear! You can shop them online here!

Joe Fresh has so many great white dresses right now (a few I have linked to below), but this one is actually an XL from the girls section! I love to shop the girls section because the clothes are adorable, and their XL size is just like a women’s XS.

My market bag is from a local shop called Penney & Co., and it’s the perfect bag to wear with some of my spring and summer looks. I added my own tassels for fun, and the whole outfit is perfect for a day of shopping in the sun in an outdoor market.

My earrings are from H&M and they were only $14.99!

I absolutely love staying away from the grocery stores as much as I can in the summer months, and instead finding different farmer’s markets to shop on the weekends. My market bag may be a little too cute to fill with produce, but I’ll at least consider it since that’s what the bag is meant for. Ok, who am I kidding? I’ll probably make my husband carry it. Yes, that sounds more likely!

Lace Bomber for the Win

When I saw this lace bomber jacket at Zara, it was game over. I bought it without a second thought, hardly looking at the price because, well hello it was a lace bomber jacket!

Practical it is not (I was freezing during the course of these photos, but I sacrificed my health for the blog obviously!) but it’s my new favourite jacket.

Zara has been amazing lately – everything they have launched this spring has been very strong. I find myself spending time on their website scrolling through the clothes and planning my next excuses to the hubby for my high credit card balance (by the way, even my husband was impressed with the lace bomber!).

This top was one I picked up earlier in the year from – shocking I know – Zara, and I paired it with my new J Brand Capri jeans from Aritzia (Capri is the style name, not the fit), and my Chanel broach and clutch.

My lace up flats are from Aldo, purchased last season (sorry!), but here are some similar ones from the same store.

We walked around the pier near the lake last weekend, and my little Yorkie Maverick came along for the trip, but he wasn’t a willing participant when it came to photos. He was more interested in chasing after other dogs, so maybe next time I can get a better shot with him!

All About Quo 2016 Beauty + Enter to Win a Quo Cosmetics Beauty Haul!

A few weeks ago I attended the #QuoSweet16 event, and it was so much better than my own Sweet 16!

Guests were treated with the chance to preview all of the new Quo Cosmetics for 2016, and the array of products was very impressive.
