Top – Winners | White Jeans – H&M | Choker – Ardene | Purse – Louis Vuitton | Sunglasses – Dior | Heels – Town Shoes

I have to admit, I used to have the sweetest collection of velvet chokers at home the last time they were trendy, but in a purge I threw them all away.

Here we are heading into spring/summer 2015 and I could have really used a few of those great chokers to complete a some of my looks!

I wasn’t sure how I would look in a choker again, but I gave it a try, and I actually kind of liked it! It totally changed this look I put together – without it the outfit was much less edgier.

My white jean obsession continues, and I am so in love with this pretty pink flowy peasant top from Winners! It was a total steal at $19.99, and I love the fit.

My nude heels from Town Shoes are so comfortable that I didn’t even need to break them in – they are so comfortable. I am seriously considering going back and buying the same pair in cobalt blue.

This spring look was lovely until it snowed later that day! Canadian girl problems. Hopefully more spring weather is coming!

Oshawa Centre Style Icon Contest

Oshawa Centre Style Icon Contest

Over the last few months you may have noticed that I have been talking quite a bit about a mall that is not only local to me (a five minute drive!), but it’s one of my regular shopping destinations.

I’m talking about The Oshawa Centre!

They have announced some very exciting changes which will be revealed soon (fall 2016) and are part of their $230 million dollar renovation.

260,000 sq. ft. will be added to the mall which will include 60 new stores, and also a 1,000 seat food court and 2 new restaurants.

The Oshawa Centre has decided to launch an incredible new contest starting today to find it’s first ever Style Icon. The search is for a sassy and stylish local to act as an Oshawa Centre Ambassador.

The style ambassador will promote the Oshawa Centre, it’s retailers, and the exciting changes leading up to (and beyond) the unveiling the incredible revamp the mall has underway.

Here’s how to enter!

Starting today, April 5, 2016, through Friday April 22, 2016, style mavens are invited to enter the contest on Instagram.

Contestants must:

1. Follow @OshawaCentre and participating retailers @LeChateau and @Lululemon on Instagram

2. Post a photo or video of a styled ‘outfit of the day’ on Instagram tagging @OshawaCentre and participating retailers using the hashtag #OCStyleIcon.

Contestants may post more than one photo to showcase multiple styled looks.

Up to 20 semi-finalists will be selected on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, and asked to submit a sample blog post on an assigned topic for a chance to be a finalist and featured as a guest blogger.

Three finalists will be invited to Oshawa Centre on Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 for a final judging competition where they’ll be asked to style two looks (one daytime and one ‘athleisure’ look).

A panel of judges (including yours truly!) will select a winner based on a set of criteria.

What will the Oshawa Centre Style Icon Win?

They will receive some incredible prizes including a grand total of $8,000 in Oshawa Centre gift cards, a guest blogger position, VIP and priority access to events, collaboration on Oshawa Centre campaigns and retailer perks.

Sounds amazing right? Well what are you waiting for? Let’s see your stylish looks on Instagram!

Jean Jacket – H&M | Peasant Top – Winners | Jeans – Paradise Mine Aritzia | Boots – Call it Spring | Back Pack – Winners

It’s my second time this week wearing white jeans on the blog, and that’s pretty much all you will see me in for the next couple months.

I love white jeans because they not only go with everything, but I am so sick of wearing winter colours. These one’s from Aritzia are extra stretchy which is great for when you ask for that extra order of guacamole and chips with dinner.

The main pop of colour to this look is this really fun floral backpack I picked up at Winners. I love the colours, and the backpack trend has been an easy one for me to catch onto since I carry about a gazillion things with a toddler running around.

Do you know what isn’t toddler friendly now that I mention it? White jeans! As much as I love them (I’m talking about the jeans, but obviously I love the toddler as well!) these jeans are difficult to wear around children and I normally finish off the day with a messy handprint or shoe print on them. I keep bleach in the laundry room on standby.

I’ve linked to some other fun floral backpacks below as well. Happy shopping!
