Whenever I complete my annual Holiday Gift Guide, I always end up finding something I wish I had of added to it once it’s finished. This was the case when I heard about Anna Coroneo’s luxury scarf collection launching exclusively in Canada at Holt Renfrew.

Anna Coroneo is an Australian designer who is based in both London and New York, and her scarves are like artwork. Not only are the pattern’s stunning, but they feel like a luxury just to tie one on. I got a close up look myself at Holt Renfrew last week, and they are beautiful in person.

Anna is an artist and a designer, and her artwork translates into prints, stationary, accessories, and of course fabulous scarves

I visited the Holt Renfrew at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, and they have Anna’s scarves displayed front and centre when you walk into the accessories entrance in the store.

I think scarves are the ultimate accessory. Whether they are worn traditionally and tied around the neck, or knotted onto a handbag or wrist they often become more than an accessory and take centre stage in an outfit. I am pretty sure I own more scarves than shoes if you can believe that! I am completely and totally in love with Anna Coroneo’s Pineapples Classic Voile Pareoscarf. It’s so bright and bold, and since I love pineapples it really doesn’t get better than this scarf.

Anna Coroneo’s scarves have been featured in Vogue, Glamour, Marie Claire, and Elle among so many others, and it’s easy to see why. They are vibrant, fun, and I’m kind of in love with them.

Last week I put together an outfit from Lacoste’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection, and if you are doing some post-holiday shopping you should check out what they have to offer, especially since they have some amazing holiday sales happening right now.

I’m in love with this Short Wool Coat for a couple of reasons. I love that it’s a traditional peacoat with a twist – the nylon hood is something I always want to have on some of my more dressy jackets. With how bad the weather has been this winter with occasional rainstorms (like the day of these photos) a hood is a necessity. I love that this jacket keeps me prepared for the elements while looking great.

I’m also loving the blue of this jacket as well. I based my whole outfit on this peacoat.

This sweatshirt dress just makes me happy. It is so comfortable, and it would look just as great with running shoes as it would heels. Dresses with pockets are so much more fun as well.

The dress also comes in blue, and I love that it’s not form fitting but instead a comfortable shapeless fit.

The Chantaco Medium Leather Zip Tote is just my kind of bag because it fits EVERYTHING! I love a bag I can throw everything into, and dig through later knowing that what I’m looking for has to be in there. This tote finishes off this look perfectly, and not only is the bag simple and sleek but another great blue to finish off the outfit.

Overall I love how fun and easy this outfit is. Lacoste knows how to make comfortable look smart and sleek.

Thanks to Lacoste for letting me style something from their Fall/Winter 2015 line!

Three Fun Looks for the Holidays

Three fun looks for the holidays

As a girl who loves to get dressed up just for a coffee date, the holiday’s are even more of an excuse to step it up a notch when it comes to my style.

There are so many events during the holiday season from parties, gift exchanges, dinners and nights in with friends.

Most have a different dress code from casual to formal, so I put together some of my favourite looks for the holidays to give you a few ideas on what to wear.

My first and most formal outfit is this black lace dress.

I bought this dress from Winnners, and at only $29.99 it was a steal! Although I only bought it last week, it may be hard to find now so I have linked to similar ones below.

Lace dresses are so pretty and have a more formal feel, and the fit and flare style is one of the more flattering looks for all shapes and sizes.

Next up, something still dressy but more cozy and slightly more casual. If you know me, you know I have an obsession with leather skirts! I love the style of this one, and it pairs great with a chunky white sweater! Normally I keep my legs bare, but a chunky sweater looks great with a pair of cable-knit stockings with heels. The whole look is really simple, but I love the look of a pleated skirt toned down with a sweater.

Finally, my most casual holiday look obviously involves sequins. Although it pains me not to wear a skirt or dress (have you noticed I avoid pants at all costs?), this oversized sequinned DKNY sweater looked best with faux leather leggings. I bought the sweater in XL for two reasons – it’s all they had left in stock, and because I wanted to have the oversized look with leggings. I thought it looked great (more like a tunic because it’s so thin and long), and for some reason a clutch always make things look a little more chic.

We all have them. You know, that one uncle you can never find the right gift for? Or the friend who buys you a fabulous gift every year while you feel the gift you are giving them is bland?

Christmas is stressful for a number of reasons, but the pressure of finding the right gift can be overwhelming.

The good news is that I can fill you in on the perfect spot to find the memorable gift you need. The Brika Pop-Up shop at Yorkdale has everything you have been looking for that you didn’t know you or someone else can’t live without.

I was unable attend one of their workshops at the pop up earlier in the month so I thought I’d swing by to see what the shop was all about. Turns out I didn’t want to leave.

They have some of the most unique gifts out there! I have shopped the Brika website before so I knew about the fabulous things it has to offer, but I had never seen it all in one place before.

I wanted two of everything – one as a gift for someone, and one for myself!

The Pop-Up includes a DIY corner with a colouring wall from Screech Owl Design. There is also a gift wrapping station where you can wrap the gifts you just bought. I loved this idea, and the wrapping materials were so pretty.

I loved that they carry Lovefresh products as well which smell amazing.

Makeful has sponsored an event space where weekly workshops are taking place, and it’s a very cool area to hang out! I’m so sad I missed the wreath making workshop I was invited to because I’m sure it was amazing.

Giving the Gift of Greeting Cards and Stationary with CardBox by Sendtiment

Giving the Gift of Greeting Cards and Stationary with CardBox by Sendtiment

I wrote a blog post last year about the importance of a thank you card because I strongly feel that text messaging and emails are taking away the novelty of sending a personalized note to someone.

It seems like everything can be done online now – even wedding invitations can be emailed out! It’s a convenient way to correspond with someone by doing it electronically, but the personalized touch isn’t there.

Birthday cards, thank you notes, or any other kind of written card are important to me and hopefully as well to the people I send them to. Since I was little I have always loved receiving mail. Still to this day (as long as it’s not my credit card bill) I’m excited to check my mailbox to see what’s inside.

I was so excited when my CardBox from Sendtiment arrived.

It’s a subscription service which each month includes at least 5 greeting cards and a few extra gifts.

All cards are made in Canada, and different artists are featured each month.

All of the products are a secret until you receive them which is really fun!

I really loved that all of the cards were individually wrapped so they are were in perfect condition when they arrived. The cards in my box were made by Rhubarb Paper Co. and they were cute and quirky. I don’t even really want to send them to people – I want to keep them for myself! The notepad is perfect for my desk as well.

I loved this box, and I think it would be such a sweet gift for someone! I would love it if someone sent me a subscription box like this. They even allow you to order one box at a time which would be great if you wanted give yourself a special treat as well.
