We are lucky enough to have family who live close by and give us the chance to have a date night every once in a while! But sometimes they are hard to schedule so we have to improvise.
I decided to put together a little date night for my husband and me in the only place we could have it – in our backyard! Our son goes to bed at 8pm each night, and I tried to think of a fun way to have a date with us house-bound. I came up with a creative idea to do some stargazing from our backyard!
It was so easy to put together! I just gathered up some cozy blankets from our home, and added a few pillows so we were comfortable. I included a lantern for light, and we needed some snacks and drinks of course!
We’ve been sipping on La Marca Prosecco all summer long, and I couldn’t think of a better way to relax and stargaze with my husband than to enjoy a few glasses of bubbly on our date! I included some easy snacks like popcorn and chocolate to pair with our prosecco.
A few years ago my husband and I went to night of stargazing when we were on a trip, and we loved it so much we bought a tripod and telescope so we could look at the stars on our deck. With life being so busy lately we haven’t made enough time to just slow down and enjoy a night at home, so it was nice to put this together and enjoy! I think setting it up in such a cute and cozy way really set the scene like we were on a real date!
We’ve been enjoying La Marca Prosecco so much this summer, and the best part is that it seems to pair with everything! It was great to enjoy it with these snacks, and we really felt like we were on a date night while we were drinking it together.
What have you been doing this summer to #MakeEveryDaySparkle ? I’ve been doing everything from picnic’s, a girl’s night in and now I’ve added stargazing to my list of summer moments! Let me know if the comments what you are doing to add a little sparkle to your summer!
Items in this post may have been provided to me for review, but all opinions are fabulously my own.
Thanks for sharing! This is a great idea. My husband enjoys looking at the stars, we’ve been looking for a good telescope to buy. Do you mind sharing what kind you have? Thanks.

Thank you! This one is Edu-Science, but we actually have a pair of binoculars which we also put on the tripod that see even better! They are from Canadian Tire – I think they were about $100 but so amazing!
