I always have a book on the go. Sometimes two! Many of my late nights are because I just can’t put a book down, which isn’t exactly a great reason to wake up exhausted from the night before, but it’s what happens often to me.
Lately I’ve been reading a series of books which happens to be pretty thick, so it was nice when Amazon.ca sent me a Kindle Paperwhite! This little guy was easy to set up (it took seconds), it’s light weight, and perfect for reading in bed! The screen is just bright enough that it’s much easier to read at night than a regular book, and I loved just popping it into my purse for reading on the plane this past weekend.
Another thing that’s super cool about the Kindle Paperwhite is that it’s so lightweight I can still pay attention to my little pup while I’m reading! Do you ever notice how they want to be scratched when you are laying down trying to get comfortable? Luckily I can read with one hand on my Kindle Paperwhite so Maverick can get belly rubs at the same time.
I recently talked about the Amazon Pet Store and the release of Amazon.ca’s fifth annual list of the top cities in Canada with the most pampered pets, which got me doing a big more shopping for my pup!
I just purchased a costume for my dog for Halloween (you can see it here!) from the Amazon.ca pet supplies section and I got an amazing deal.
Since I’ve been loving my Kindle Paperwhite I decided to put together a list of the must-have reads for fur baby parents. I’m combining the love of my pup with my love of reading! There are so many cute reads out there for pet lovers, and here are a few you should take a look at below.

I would read The Art of Racing in the Rain. Right now I am reading Lily and the Octopus…so good, sad but good.
