I have a group of girlfriends that I absolutely adore! They are the type of girls I can call whenever I need anything, and know that I would absolutely do the same for them.
We all met years ago when we had our first child, and we have basically been inseparable ever since! We all just clicked, and we easily get annoyed if we don’t have something fun added to our calendars with our group.
We’ve also planned which of our children will marry each other, and have basically orchestrated their lives of being friends for life! Our kids truly love each other which makes it so much easier for all of us to stay together!
It was my turn to host, and it just so happened that La Marca ProseccoLove offered to surprise me with a fabulous girl’s night in!
I introduced the girls to La Marca Prosecco during a previous girl’s night at my house and they all loved it!
The plan for the evening was kept under wraps until the day of the party, and what was planned for us was SO amazing!
So, I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of this tiny little show called MASTER CHEF CANADA (joking, we ALL know about this show), but Season 3’s winner, Mary Berg, was our chef for the evening! Mary came to my house and not only made us dinner, but taught us how to make pasta and how versatile La Marca Prosecco is!
We were fangirling before she even arrived – this was a BIG deal! Mary Berg, IN MY KITCHEN, with La Marca Prosecco, making a paired dinner for all us! It was more than a little surreal!
Mary was so incredibly nice! I explained to her that I don’t normally use the kitchen (joking/not really joking), and she set to work making us a meal we wouldn’t forget.
While she put together dinner for our girl’s night, the girls came in and took a look at the pretty decor and received welcome gifts!
Each girl received a glass of La Marca Prosecco and a welcome package as they arrived which included La Marca branded glasses (plastic and perfect for summer), Prosecco-infused macarons The Ten Spot lip gloss, and SQUISH Prosecco bear candy. It was a great way to welcome everyone to our night in!
Mary created an incredible charcuterie board that basically dreams are made of. It was seriously to die for! Everything not only paired perfectly together, but perfectly with the La Marca!
We headed into the kitchen for a La Marca Aperol Spritz Float which was one of the best I have ever had! We had more than a couple of these cocktails – they were so good! It was a challenge to save the leftover Aperol Sorbet for our group’s planned BBQ the next day but we managed! We wanted to ensure that we continued to make everyday sparkle and share that with our family and friends.
While sipping on this yummy cocktail we learned from Mary how to make fresh pasta. This is something I’ve never tried to do before, but Mary made it look so easy that I can’t wait to try! I’m sure it won’t be as easy as she made it look, but it was so cool to see in person how it should be done.
Our first course was a chilled asparagus, pea and mint soup with crème fraiche, and we finished every spoonful. It was a refreshing way to start the dinner, and we all couldn’t imagine how much food we would be eating next!
The next course was lobster ravioli with lemon, chive and tarragon brown butter and crisped bread crumbs that tasted like we were dining in a kitchen in Italy – complemented perfectly with La Marca Prosecco! We all finished every bite, and I felt so lucky in that moment to be enjoying such an amazing dinner with amazing friends!
Our next course was short ribs with gremolata on a lemon gorgonzola polenta.
This was THE best short rib I’ve ever had. I finished every. single. bite. We all did – we were raving about how amazing this was, but also talking about how stuffed we were.
There was one last course to go – our dessert was vanilla lemon panna cotta with candied almonds, almond tuile, and fresh raspberries.
The whole dinner from start to finished paired so amazingly well with the La Marca prosecco. We were all pleasantly surprised with how versatile La Marca Prosecco was with each dish! It truly was an incredible meal with some incredible sparkly libations!
This night was so unforgettable because all of the fun, food and laughter we enjoyed that evening. Our girl’s night will never be the same– how could they ever measure up? La Marca truly delighted us with the surprise of not only a private chef, but the amazing Mary Berg and a beautifully paired dinner with La Marca! This group of friends has been talking about it ever since – we were so lucky to have such a fun girl’s night in!
How do you make your everyday sparkle? Is it a girls night in like mine? Or something special you do for yourself, or someone you love? Let me know in the comments what makes your everyday sparkle!
