We are off on another adventure, and I think the hardest person in my family to pack for is usually my son. I think a lot about what to pack for him because travel days can be long.
This adventure is to Walt Disney World for ten days, so there were a lot of things I needed to bring along with us! I stopped in at the buybuyBaby in Whitby because they are a one-stop shop for everything from snacks, toiletries, clothing, travel accessories and more!
The part I stress about the most when it comes to packing is time at the airport and on the plane. There are also so many essentials I had to think of that I would rather bring along with me rather than searching through souvenir stores once I arrived at my destination.
Here the essentials I chose to bring with our family from buybuyBaby!
First up, one that I usually forget is bug spray! buybuyBaby carries Take a Hike which is safe for use on children one and older, but it’s also safe for infants if it’s sprayed on their clothing, carriers, strollers, ect. (just not skin contact).
It doesn’t contain any chemicals, and it’s non-greasy and non-sticky!
Anyone with children knows that travelling with Band-aid’s is essential! The scrapes and cuts are endless, so I picked up some travel packages of bandaids, and of course a few options with characters on them because they can be so distracting when they are trying to choose which Band-aid they want!
I never leave home without baby wipes! Alexa Naturals makes great little travel packs that fit easily inside my purse and are perfect for wiping little hands before and after meals!
With all of the trips to the pool I knew I needed a wet bag, but how cute is this one from Itzy Ritzy®? Their Travel Happens™ Sealed Wet Bag’s come in all sorts of adorable patterns, and I just couldn’t resist this one! Speaking of swimming, these SwimSchool Dual Chamber Arm Floats are something I always forget on our trips so I was sure to pick them up and pack them!
SKIP*HOP® makes the CUTEST backpacks and accessories! This new Bat backpack is probably the cutest one I’ve ever seen so I just had to grab it because it’s perfect to pack everything our little guy needs for the flight!
We of course needed some in-flight reading, so I chose a Mickey Mouse book (an essential for Disney!), along with The Very Cranky Bear and If you Happen to Have a Dinosaur. buybuyBaby has a great selection of books including classics that every child should have, and also some of the newest books on the shelf from Jimmy Fallon and Robert Munsch.
An absolute essential when travelling with toddlers is snacks! I always try to skip candy and anything with sugar when we are on the go, so I grabbed Love Child Oaty Chomps that are very similar to granola bars, and Little Duck Organics Tiny Fruit freeze dried fruits. Both are so easy to throw into my son’s travel backpack so he can eat whenever he wants which I won’t mind about because the snacks are healthy.
Bringing an umbrella stroller for travel is nothing new for most parents, but buybuyBaby had a few travel accessories that I had to include with this essentials list!
The Diono Stroller Fan will be perfect for that hot and humid Florida weather we will be facing! I can’t even believe how humid it will be! I thought this was a really cool find – the Gate Check Air Travel Bag for Umbrella Strollers is something I hadn’t seen before! We are always leaving our stroller at the gate check, and I had never seen such a great way to protect it, and to also identify it.
I was actually really surprised to see that not only did buybuyBaby have travel-sized toiletries, but they also had airport carry-on sized bottles for shampoos, conditioners and lotions. I was happy to be able to put my son’s full-sized shampoo’s and conditioners in travel bottles.
There you have it! My travel essentials were much easier to shop for since they were all available at buybuyBaby. I really thought I might need to run somewhere else to grab a few things, but it turns out I found everything I needed at my local store in Whitby!
