Here’s the thing – summer often seems all about indulgence. Lots of sun, sand, late nights, sleepy weekends, and usually a lot of food!
I tend to have the mindset to eat now and worry about it later, and I spend the fall trying to get my snacking and eating under control in a healthier manner.
I’m really going to try and start my summer out right, and although I probably won’t be able to curb my snacking I think the best thing I could do for myself and my family is to make healthier choices with my snacks.
Last week we received a package from Three Farmers to try as a family, and I think we ate everything in that care package within the first two days of receiving it – safe to say we enjoyed what was sent to us.
The Three Farmers Roasted Chickpeas went first – I decided to add them to our salads at dinner time, and I was promptly asked for the bag next so the boys could eat the rest up!
They were a fun addition to my simple summer salads, and luckily these little tasty chickpeas are rich in protein, fibre, Omega-3, low in fat, and low in calories. Too good to be true right?
We also tried out the Three Farmers Camelina Oil to dip our fresh bread in with dinner, and I thought it was a great alternative to olive oil which is normally a staple of ours.
Let’s talk about the Three Farmers Pea Pops. The flavours – so good! Dill Pickle Pow and Wild Ranch? It didn’t seem right that these were a healthy snack option. Again, they were gobbled up by my boys!
I love that I found an alternative snack option that is so healthy and full of goodness! Everything we tried was so tasty it didn’t seem right that it was healthy! I also love that the larger bags are resealable – not that these snacks lasted long in our home! We often head out for bike rides and picnics in the summer, so grabbing one of these bags out the door to snack on later makes life a bit easier.
If you are looking for a great summer snack option that not only tastes good but is a healthy choice, I highly suggest trying out some of these snacks. Three Farmers Roasted Chickpeas and Pea Pops are now available in store, and you can visit their website for more details here.
Have you tried these snacks before? Let me know in the comments if you have had the chance to Fuel Your Crave with Three Farmers yet!
