Sometimes it feels like I spend more time trying to make family time than actually having it! We are always running from playdates, birthday parties, sports, work and school, and we really need to schedule in that time when we can finally relax and catch up with each other.
I spend most weeknight’s making dinner at home, but in order to actually relax and enjoy time with a few of my favourite people we go out somewhere to just sit an enjoy each other.
Last week I was just getting back from a trip where I was away from my boys, and so I couldn’t wait to sit down with them and hear all about their “boys week” together! We decided to try out a new restaurant called Chúuk in Pickering for one of our favourite foods – Mexican!
It’s funny, whenever my son or husband appear on the blog I immediately get questions about what they are wearing! I’m always sending direct messages with links and details on the outfit my son wore in a photo or Instagram Story, and when my husband makes an appearance people want to know where is outfit is from or where I like to shop for him.
For our family meal last week my husband was wearing Tip Top Tailors. How amazing is this casual blazer? The colour itself is so versatile that he can pair it with most of his shirts so it’s easy to wear it often.
I love the pop of colour and style his pocket square gives! Without it he would still look very composed, but his pocket square adds a bit of stylish flair. Luckily his shirts don’t need to match perfectly – instead all of the colours and patterns seem to compliment each other.
I love the idea of curating a capsule wardrobe, and I really feel that these pieces from Tip Top Tailors are an essential part of my husbands wardrobe since they have a classic feel and are easily mixed and matched together.
The only difficult part of this family meal together? Making sure we didn’t drop our tacos all over ourselves!
After eating some amazing food we found ourselves on an ice cream run because that’s how we seem to end every meal in the summer! I’m not complaining, but I might be at the end of the summer when I try to put my jeans on again!
Stay tuned to the blog next week for my patio makeover, and a really fun travel guide!
