Dress – Forever 21 // Sneakers – Gucci // Jacket – J.Crew // Bag – Penney & Co.
I’m so excited that spring finally decided to show up the weekend my husband and I decided to go away! My weekend really started on Friday with a morning of shopping and an afternoon at my favourite spa Maison Blanc, and then Saturday we were off to Niagara for a wine tour and some relaxation! Our son and dog spent the weekend with my parents (my son told me he had “the best time ever!”), and we spent most of the weekend eating!
My husband is still on the Whole 30 diet so eating for him was a bit more of challenge, but we figured it all out along the way. Our first stop was to Red Barn Cellars, and not only was their food amazing, but they tailored one of their dishes to his diet which was AMAZING of them! We had dinner at the Keg so it was easy to have that meal adjusted to his restrictions, and the next day we ate at the Shaw Café where again they had something he could eat. You wouldn’t believe how hard it is for him to find something when we are out of the house!
My husband wasn’t able to drink either due to his diet (he only has a week and a half to go!), so I actually had a lovely chauffer this weekend – a bit of a bonus for me! I’ll have an updated Niagara-on-the-Lake wine tour guide and video coming to the blog soon to share some of our updated favourite spots. We tend to go often, and things change a lot out that way!
As lovely as the weather has finally been, it’s still a little chilly here in Whitby. My dress was a little drafty, but my jacket definitely helped! I paired this dress from Forever 21 with my J.Crew jean jacket which is the perfect fit and my new Gucci sneakers I bought over the winter and haven’t seen the light of day until now.
I feel like my heel collection isn’t growing quite as fast as my sneaker one! There are just so many cute styles I can’t wait to buy right now – I’m actually looking for another set of runners right now!
