Sweater and Pants – Garbo’s Boutique // Shoes – Valentino // Bag – Gucci

Lately I’ve spent a lot of time lately getting ready for the colder weather for my son. I’ve been gathering up things like snow boots, snow pants, a winter jacket and all of the other essentials. The other day I realized I haven’t actually grabbed those things for myself!

What made me think of it? The freezing weather! I wasn’t ready when we got home from vacation for the cold, and so I’m a bit behind on my wardrobe.

I got caught up last week at Garbo’s Boutique – a place I shopped before and loved! The experience of having personal shopping appointment with a glass of wine surrounded by great clothing far surpasses shopping at the mall or purchasing online.

Sometimes I just want to take my time browsing around or trying on a few outfit combinations, and it just feels like at Garbo’s I’ve got the time I need to do that. I also love that there is no pressure – it’s ok not to love the way something looks on me, and I don’t feel like having that appointment means I must take something home.

I LOVE this sweater by Skull Cashmere! It reminds me of this one from Garbo’s. It’s actually what interested me in shopping there in the first place – I saw that blue skull sweater in a fashion show they had a few months ago and thought I had to have it, and wanted to see what else Garbo’s had to offer.

This sweater is so much fun, and it’s incredibly soft! It’s paired with denim by DL1961 which is part of the new Marianna Hewitt collection that is high waisted, and very comfortable. I don’t usually love high waisted jeans, but these ones are soft, and have the perfect amount of stretch. I have a few pairs of this style of denim, but these are going to replace the others I already had because they are so comfortable.

I’m not a quitter, so I’ll keep up on that fall shopping! More fall looks to come over the next few weeks, with a slight pause in between as I head to the Bahamas for a week!
