Dress – Shein // Earrings – Charming Charlie (similar here and here) // Bag – Amazon // Shoes – Le Chateau (or these one’s I want!) // Sunglasses – Dior
Finally – more vacation photos! I’ve been so excited to get these photos back because I not only loved my shooting location of the SLS Baha Mar, but my outfits! I went for bright and fun on this trip, and this dress is my FAVOURITE!
I think one of the major factors in what helped me decide to start a blog was – believe it or not – my vacation wardrobe! Every year for our trips I would spend months planning what I would wear. I had a rule that I would either find a new outfit for every day, or put away something so it seemed new for my trip. Every trip I went on included a day outfit or a bikini and cover up plus an evening outfit, and I would make my poor husband take photos of it all! I just loved finding looks for a week away and sharing them online. Clearly it was an indication that I wanted to move into style blogging. I have to admit things have escalated a bit with my vacation wardrobe – like booking time to photograph all of my outfits – but I have so much fun putting everything together and taking shots!
Before my trip I went looking for a palm print dress, and I was pretty excited to find one for under $20! I sort of felt like I was blending in with the scenery, and I received lots of complements when I wore it. What says vacay more than a palm print?
I thought I would add these drop earrings from Charming Charlie, and then I thought any of my colourful clutches would work, but this Ciao one had the perfect pop to contrast with the dress. These sandals were on my feet all last summer – they are so comfortable, and toned down my look a bit. My other options for footwear were colourful sandals, but I didn’t want to look like a Boca Raton retiree. I tend to go in that style direction with all of my pom poms and colours!
My holiday wardrobe for sunny destinations tend to be much less expensive than things I would usually buy because of the wear and tear on them. Sun, sand, and Pina Coladas tend to get thrown around on vacation, so I usually buy things that are easy, comfortable, and are ok to see some wear and tear when I travel.
What do you think of this dress? I may be biased, but I just think it’s the cutest!

I feel the same way Mandy! The way I pick outfits for my travels makes me want to start a blog!

You should go for it! That’s what got me going, and then I started getting into the habit of posting all of my outfits!
I’m in love with this dress and was wondering how it fit you! I’m about 5’1 so finding things that aren’t super long on me is hard, online shopping tends to be risky!

I totally understand! I’m 5’2! I’ve heard people who are taller than me say that some of the dresses I wear tend to be short on them, so since you are slightly shorter than me this one might fit well! I thought the length was good for me!
