Was it just me, or was that the Monday-ist Monday ever? Nothing horrible happened and nothing went wrong, but it just seemed like a hard day to get through! Everyone was saying Blue Monday was last week, but for some reason today was much harder for me.

We spent the weekend doing nothing special, but once I tallied up everything we did Sunday night it seemed like a lot! We had the chance to stop in at Kwan Dim Sum at the Scarborough Town Centre on Saturday for lunch, and it was more our son requesting it than us. He really likes their food, and my husband hadn’t been before so it was nice to have him try it out. He thinks it’s funny that I go on all of these fun dates with our son and without him! We always have to catch him up on the good places we eat.

Food was what drove the whole weekend really. I’m currently stuffed because I bought a giant tub of those sour keys they have at Costco, and I’ve decided about 7 a day is the perfect number.

As I was writing this my hubby came home with flowers for me for no good reason – just because. Ok forget it – today was amazing! It’s so funny how one little nice thing can change your whole day!

As for what I’m wearing, these chilly temps still allow for wearing a dress – especially if it has long sleeves! This dress is actually super warm, and I love the lace detail and touch of frill. I thought I would pair it with these blue velvet booties that I actually bought last year, but I wore them way more this year. They are so much more fun than black boots.

My navy earrings only seem to come out when I’m wearing blue (I would love to wear them with a miss-matched colour!), and this leopard bag I picked up in NYC is one of my favourites!

Do you stay away from wearing dresses in the winter, or do you just look for warmer ones for this chilly weather? I have to admit I love a warm dress like this one, but really I would wear any of my dresses in the winter! I’m happy to possibly catch a cold for the sake of looking cute!

I’ll be the first one to admit my legs get shy in the winter, thus not much dress or skirt wearing. Then again, I also walk to the GO train, walk from Union to work and back home again, so I’m walking a fair bit. At least that’s what I tell myself….

I cannot wait for warmer weather, although this mild weather sure is nice compared to two weekends ago. Man oh man was that ever cold!

I’m usually just a night-dress person! During the day it’s pants, uggs and a parka – it’s just at night that I really want to dress up! I also have very very long jackets so I don’t freeze to death in this weather! So ready for spring!
