Carry-On Essentials for Summer Travel

With spring finally here, I am so excited for my summer travel plans!

We have a lot happening this summer, but our major trip is to Bermuda for America’s Cup!  We leave in June, and I have already started planning what I’m going to pack.

What are our plans?  Well enjoying the Bermuda sun and palm trees of course!  This will be our second trip the island that is actually only a short flight away.  We are bringing my son and are traveling with my parents as well so it will be a family adventure!

We are spending 4 of the days of our trip at the races which we are very excited about.  We are spending one day in the America’s Cup Village, another day in the Goslings Bar to watch the action, and two days in the VIP Longtail Lounge watching the semi-finals.

As a style blogger my first thought was of course – what am I going to pack?  My follow up thought was about what I’m going to buy when I’m there, so a big part of my planning involved my luggage!

I’m traveling with the Samsonite American Tourister Airforce 1 Spinner Carry-On.  I needed a piece of luggage that was lightweight so I could pack it full of what I need for my trip, and this piece is super easy to navigate through an airport because of its Spinner Wheels that go in any direction.  The price point is pretty amazing as well, plus its pink which adds a whole other level of fun.

I pack my most coveted items in my carry on.  It’s just how I roll – haha couldn’t resist a good pun!!  I also have a list of things that MUST travel within my carry-on!

A Change of Clothing

I’ve been stranded without luggage before so this is a must.  I also bring an extra bathing suit if I’m heading somewhere tropical because they are the hardest thing to shop for so I want to make sure I have one that I like and that fits.

Sunglasses and Purses

Usually my most irreplaceable travel items come with me in my carry on, so it makes sense that my sunglasses and purses stay with me at all times!​

Jewelry

I usually make sure I am wearing all of my jewelry or keep it in my carry on which I never lose sight of!  I would hate to lose any of my jewelry in my checked bags.

Reading Material

Bring on the airport gossip magazines!  I usually load up on magazines at the airport, and have a good book with me anyway for the flight.

Basic Toiletries

Again, if my luggage gets lost on my way to Bermuda, I pack the basics in my Samsonite American Tourister Airforce 1 Spinner Carry-On just in case.  I always keep a toothbrush, toothpaste, and makeup basics.

When it’s time to go I know I will be ready because I’ve planned all of my outfits, and I can’t wait to get packing.  Half of the fun is knowing what I will be bringing with me, and the rest of the fun will be what I buy to bring home!
