Creating with Cricut!

I have to admit, I had no idea what a Cricut machine was a few months ago. My friend Stephanie was so excited that an event we went to was having a seminar, and she convinced me to go. About 10 minutes into the seminar I was so excited – it turns out I had seen the work of a Cricut machine over and over, but I had no idea how it was done!

This cute little machine it turns out creates some of the coolest projects in a crazy easy way! By using your laptop, iPad, Smartphone, or any other device you can upload the Cricut app to, it’s possible to create everything from greeting cards, add designs to clothing, serving trays, mugs, pillows – the options seem endless so far! I’m kind of loving my Cricut Explore Air.

I’m a newbie, so I tend to stick to the templates on my app. I use my phone (because it’s always in my hand) and I search through products to create anything from Valentine’s for my son’s class, to a vinyl creation for my cup!

By choosing a template, really all I need to do is load the materials. The materials are FUN. Every colour of the rainbow can be found for projects, and all of the pens, markers and tools serve a purpose to make each project easier. It’s so easy to just choose a template and create! There are so many templates that it’s unbelievable – it makes me want to personalize everything!

Coming soon I will show you one of my first clothing projects that you can do yourself – it’s so easy, and it saved me a lot of money since a similar design could cost much more!

I’ve been practicing with a few other projects, including creating personalized care packages for my girlfriends for our last spa trip, and I have to say I’m getting good!
