Decorating My Living Room with Wayfair Canada

 
 

 

We go through periodic stages of working on our home décor with a vengeance, and after my closet renovation we decided to do another project that involved a bit less stress. After doing such a difficult project we decided to take it easy on ourselves, and this time we focused on revamping the décor in one of our rooms.

Our living room was the one room in our house that we basically ignored when we moved in. We spend a lot of time in our family room because it’s closer to the kitchen and houses our only TV in the house.

Yes, we only have one TV, and my husband and I are still married! We decided a long time ago that we only wanted one room to have a TV, so clearly it’s the most popular space in the house!

Our living room was always left unfinished. We purchased a custom couch and ottoman for the room, and we have moved the furniture around probably 100 times, added and removed tables, chairs and other pieces of décor but we never found anything that worked. The room is an odd shape, so nothing ever seemed to work when it came to decor.

We decided to finally finish the room all in one swoop, and we did this by using Wayfair Canada.

When we decided to decorate this room the big thing we wanted to focus on was having it complete. To us that meant a complete set of matching furniture that made the room look cohesive.

I’ve been drooling over tufted sofas for a long time now, and I was so happy to find the perfect couch and chair for this room. The Mcconvile Sofa and matching chair looked incredible online, and after reading all of the reviews on Wayfair.ca I was excited for it to arrive.

What I love about Wayfair is that not only do all of the products have many different photos so you can get a great feel of what the product looks like, but the reviews are comprehensive and others with the product often upload shots of the products in their home, and write in depth about each item so you have lots of feedback to look at before you make your purchase.

After reading the reviews on these two items, I was sold and adding them to my shopping cart. I wanted a matching coffee table, console table, and side table to work with the style and theme of my chosen furniture, and I decided to go with the whole collection.

After making all of my selections I headed to the online checkout, and found my shipping to be free, and all of my taxes and duties included at check out! This was amazing because then I didn’t need to worry about additional charges at the border, or at delivery.

Really all I needed to do was wait for everything to arrive!

We decided to purchase the Mcconville Sofa and Mcconville Armchair by Rosalind Wheeler, and the Travis Coffee Table, Travis Circular End Table, and Travis Console Table by Darby Home Co.

We received emailed updates with tracking information as our furniture was being delivered. We knew when it had left the warehouse, when it arrived in Canada, and then the estimated arrival date. A few of the items were left on our porch, while the larger items were scheduled for delivery as the team who made the delivery brought it right into our home.

I really love the Kirch 4 Light Foyer Pendant by Mercer41 that we chose. We have actually had three other lights in this room, and this one has literally shone the brightest! It gives off the perfect amount of light, and matches the other lighting in our home very well.
 
 

 
 

After everything arrived I decided I needed some fun pillows for the room, and ordering with Wayfair was so easy that I decided to shop for them on their website! I found these Animal Safari Microsuede Throw Pillow by Sweet Jojo Designs and they were at my house in a couple of days!

 
 

 
 

After we were done this project, it felt so easy! We just ordered what we wanted online, it arrived to our door quickly, and the room was quickly decorated.

The quality of everything that arrived was amazing. We knew from the reviews that everything would be great, but once we had everything in our home we were so happy. Everything was durable and well made. The whole process was so easy – we will absolutely be ordering from Wayfair again!
