I think adding gold to any look makes it a bit more luxe! This skirt is so pretty and easy to dress up or make more casual with an oversized sweater and flats, but I loved dressing it up a bit with this vintage coat.
I picked up this coat back when my parents were still driving me around to shop (and footing the bill – oh those were the days) and I knew back then it was very special. I bring it out every once in a while to add a bit of glam to my look, and pairing it with this gold skirt seemed like a no brainer.
I kept the rest of this look rather muted because I wanted the skirt and coat to take lead on the look. Do you avoid wearing skirts in the winter? I try to pair them with either over-the-knee boots to stay warm, or keep my skirts long so I don’t freeze. I love wearing dresses and skirts all year long, so I try to find ways to incorporate them into my week of outfits without catching a cold.
What are your weekend plans? I have a shopping trip planned for Friday, and Saturday I am meeting with some blogger babes for brunch to say goodbye to one of them who’s leaving for an amazing new job, and Sunday is all about mom-duty. I’m spending the day at Monster Jam. Should be interesting!
