Today was my son’s first day back at school! It was so quiet at home without him! He was very excited to go to school this morning, and he was chatty all the way to school until I dropped him off in the yard. Luckily he had one of his good friends in his class so they waited in line talking away (as well as you can with masks on), and he walked right inside without looking back.
He told me the day was good, but he was surprised he was asked to wear his mask outside for recess as well! Otherwise he did lots of crafts and class activities, and other than wearing a mask it was a great day!
Today was a strange weather day – I couldn’t decide if I was wearing shorts, pants or a dress! It’s that odd time of the year when you want to get all Fall, but it’s often too warm to do that you are running around in shorts or a dress for the month instead!
I’m eager to start heading to farms on the weekends to pick apples and go through the corn mazes, but I’m trying to keep in mind that it will probably be better to spend time on the water since it will be hot out for a while longer. Meanwhile I’ve got a pumpkin candle burning and I just finished watering my mums, so I’m pretty basic right now.
I love that this week feels like a fresh start. I’ve started a new notebook, I did a workout today, and I feel much more organized than I did all summer!
