At our home, we are Christmas ready! We have been for a few weeks now, but it’s taken me a while to share this post because it’s been a little crazy around here lately.
This year a few things stayed the same, and a few things changed slightly – overall my holiday look is very understated. I like to keep things simple and as elegant as possible. Let me walk you through it!
My theme this year is black and white stripes, and what better way to bring out that theme then to have a matching holiday dress? This Claire Dress in Black and Cream from Dainty Jewells is perfect for the holidays, and perfect to match my décor!
I love the little sleeve and collar accents on this dress. You didn’t think I would do a home tour without talking about my outfit, did you?
Oh, back to my home! I’ve scattered poinsettias throughout my home as you can see (it will be a struggle to keep them alive – plants don’t have a long lifespan in my home unfortunately), and I added two cute little wreathes from Michaels on my vintage window pane on each side, again tied with striped ribbon. I also added some little Christmas touches and a live bouquet of greenery over my mirrors which I tied on with ribbon.
In our living room our Christmas tree is just shy of our 9 ft ceilings luckily (I choose a very tall and skinny tree because I thought it would be a more modern look), and I draped my themed black and white ribbon around it.
Our tree skirt has a bit of bling, and I picked it up from Michaels this year.
When it came to my ornaments, so many of them are sentimental. We love to travel, so many of them are from places we have traveled such as Italy, France, Bermuda, Spain, the Carribean, and more.
Our fireplace is simple with evergreen branches, berries, and our stockings are all from Pottery Barn Kids. This beautiful berry wreath is from Homesense.
I had all of the stockings embroidered with our names, and unfortunately they didn’t really have a dog-themed stocking so I had to improvise with one from Homesense.
Our holiday table is accented with gold cutlery from Crate and Barrel, gold pine cones from Homesense, and place cards I made with sprigs of rosemary. I kept the table cozy with blankets draped over the chairs from Homesense and the table décor is a mix of real greenery from here and also faux greenery from Home Outfitters.
All of the plates and cups were also from Homesense – good thing it’s only five minutes from my home! Clearly it’s my go-to!
Our home is cozy and Christmas ready! I can’t wait to start hosting for the holidays!
Item’s in this post may have been provided to me for review, but all opinions are fabulously my own.
