I’m only wearing fall outfits approximately three times a week since the weather is only cold that often! The rest of my days are filled with left over summer dresses because it’s been unseasonably hot. As much as I want to move into more fall outfits, sweating just isn’t pretty so I’m holding off.
I actually bought this skirt back in August when I did a big fall shop and I’ve already worn it a few times. Shopping at Nordstrom just makes me happy for some reason. I love stopping at their little cafe for my favorite drink to sip on while I shop (it’s called Orange Cream), and then I stroll through EVERY department. I love that they have a couple options to stop and eat at as well – I could actually live there it turns out.
Most of my fall outfits will include long skirts like this one paired with an over sized sweater and booties – these are my fall staples! I can mix and match all of these things in different ways, so buying a few of these staples will get me through the fall!
I feel like long skirts like this one make me look a little more dressed up than I feel. They are so comfy – so much better than wearing jeans! My over sized sweaters look just as great with a skirt as they do with skinny jeans, and these boots basically go with everything!
This week ends in a pretty jam-packed way – I’m heading off to a Canada’s Wonderland event on Friday night which I can’t wait for! It’s for Halloween Haunt – one of my favorite things to attend in the fall! Saturday we are going to two separate events for my son, and then my husband and I are celebrating our anniversary that night with a dinner. Sunday is our actual anniversary, and we decided to spend it relaxing since we are headed away on vacation very soon. Usually we go away or do something exciting for our anniversary, but since we just got back from a trip and are about to go on another one I actually sort of felt like doing nothing. Sometimes it’s nice to just hang out, which we don’t often have a chance to do!
It’s so funny because for some reason I thought I could pick up some great sale items to wear on our cruise and vacation since summer has ended, but really I found nothing! Everything seemed to get moved out of stores pretty quickly so I found myself paying for expedited shipping this week for my final few outfits!
We are back into hockey this fall with my son, along with a lot of soccer so it’s going to be busy! I love the soccer – the hockey I don’t really love, but I’m trying! My son seems to complain before he gets on the ice, but once he’s playing he does really well and seems happy so we will keep going. Soccer he just LOVES, which I love since it’s my sport as well!
