So much is happening for the holidays right now at Scarborough Town Centre, and I can’t wait to share some of those exciting pop-ups that I’ve experienced in this past week!
Let’s start with something that all of the mom’s and dad’s out there are probably pretty stressed about now – Santa! My son is very very shy, so we always have the struggle of him wanting to meet Santa, but being very nervous and afraid.
This year we experienced Santa’s Secret Workshop at Scarborough Town Centre, and I have to say it was pretty amazing!
From the moment you arrive there is a definite wow-factor! My son couldn’t wait to see what was inside of those doors! I loved that we didn’t need to wait in line or stand in a crowd which can often make my son even more anxious – we signed up on the STC website here to make an appointment, which ensured this visit with Santa was just for him!
An Elf greeted us at the door and brought us into the first room where my son was able to write a letter for Santa! I should note he was greeted at the door by his first name – when you register they ask for a few of your child’s details so the experience is completely personalized.
He sat down and wrote (with what he called a “fancy pen”) a letter to Santa, and was able to put it in the mail. Next up another Elf let us into the next room where Santa was waiting!
The Santa in this experience is the real-deal. If I had to bet, I would say this was actually Santa! He not only looked the part, but was very kind and gentle with my son who I’m sure he could tell was a little awed!
They sat for a moment and chatted, with Santa using his real name and knowing his grade! They had a chat about what my son wanted for Christmas, and then they moved to the fireplace where Santa sat with him and told him if he looked into the fire he may see something magical. The fireplace then showed a live shot of the North Pole, and they sat and watched while my son asked questions and Santa answered. I loved this – it really calmed my son’s nerves and he started getting more animated!
Next up they moved over to a desk where they worked on a craft together. My son made a stocking, and Santa helped him every step of the way. At this point I was so happy with this experience – how cool is it that Santa was helping him make a stocking? Along the way Santa chatted with him, and it was adorable to watch!
Once the stocking was done, Santa read a bit of a story with him before saying goodbye. Along the whole experience there was a helpful little Elf taking photos with a professional camera! All of these photos were included with the package, and a link was sent to me via text just as I was leaving! The photos were an amazing keepsake, and I loved that I could keep them all instead of picking and choosing what I wanted.
Hands down this is the best Santa experience we have EVER had! My son was practically floating after he left, and he kept talking about all of the things Santa said to him. It’s adorable to see a child not only believe so strongly in Santa, but to have such a neat experience with Santa before Christmas. I will be signing up for this every year it’s offered – it would be hard to do anything else at Christmas time that would compare!

There is so much happening at the Scarborough Town Centre right now, including the Holiday MRKT Secret Garden!
I visited myself last week to see all of the vendors, and there were so many that offered some beautiful and unique gifts!
The Holiday MRKT is located on the lower level of the mall in front of Planet Santa, and in-between MAC and Sephora.
On the night of my visit we were able to make a pretty holiday wreath in between checking out all of the artisanal vendors. You can check it our for yourself until December 31st!
You can see a list of vendors here, and if you click on each vendor you can learn more details about them, and how long they will be at the MRKT!
There are a few I wanted to highlight that I loved visiting, and thought they had some really fun gifts for the holidays!
Vivarosa will be at the market until December 31st, and they are a Toronto-based shoe brand with a flagship store on Queen West. How adorable is there space at the Holiday MRKT? I couldn’t decide which I loved more – their leopard pumps, or their collection of boots!
They have even offered a promo code for me to share with my readers – use code Mandy20 for 20% off your purchase!
Girl Love Fund had keeps everything in their collection under $30, AND 30% of each purchase goes directly to the supported charity. How pretty are all of these pieces?
That had so many pretty gifts, and they have a strong message that adds to the gift you are giving this holiday season. You can find them at the Holiday MRKT until December 31st!
Vasanti Cosmetics is a brand that I had heard amazing things about before I made it to the Holiday MRKT!
Vasanti carries everything from makeup, skincare to beauty brushes! If you are looking for a glam holiday look, or if you want to try a new skincare solution (I’m about to try the new Brighten Up line!), then make sure to see them by December 31st at the Holiday MRKT!
Holiday shopping can be so stressful! It’s nice to have a market to visit inside Scarborough Town Centre where you can find unique gifts that will set yours apart from the rest under the tree! For more details on the Holiday MRKT, visit here!
