After spending the first half of the summer making Whole 30 diet-friendly meals for my husband, I’m ready to eat! My son and I were sneaking off each day for carbs at lunch and ice cream at night – that diet is no joke! I tried to make Whole 30 friendly meals we could all eat and although some were great, most would still leave me a bit hungry at the end of the day.
The first meal I made after my husband finished the Whole 30 was this one – I kept it light, and although I added a few things he hadn’t been eating like bread and cheese, the rest was still in line with his healthy diet.
First up – this amazing hummus spread! It’s the second time I’ve made it – you have the option of making the hummus yourself, or just buying it at the store to save time!
If you want to make it yourself here is my favourite hummus recipe along with the details for this easy Mediterranean Hummus Dish:
Even easier to make with this Goat Cheese, Peach and Honey Crostini! It was so simple, but we found ourselves LOVING it and we ate the whole tray! I think the next time I make it I might try grilling the peaches to see if it tastes any better, but the simple way I made it was perfect as it was!
Both were crazy easy to make, and if you are headed off to a BBQ and need something fun to make then these are it! Sometimes I’m so tired of making a full meal that I just want to eat small bites and appetizers, and this was the perfect dinner last week. I hope you try them out!
Items in this post may have been provided to me for review, but all opinions are fabulously my own.
These look gorg! Will have to give a try.
