One look I think everyone can agree does not look good during summer is a full face of makeup! With the sun and humidity it’s not practical that how you look when you leave your bathroom in the morning is how you’ll look at the end of the day!
Paired with the fact that you’ll likely spend more time outdoors this time of year, a different makeup regimen than your winter one just makes more sense!
I’ve been trying to keep my makeup much more minimal this summer, and I have three basics I’ve been using more often lately.
On Instagram I mentioned previously that I was using the Charlotte Tilbury Overnight Bronze and Glow Mask.
I try to keep my face out of the sun or heavily sunscreened, so finding a product that provided a natural glow was amazing.
Self tanners are HARD! It’s difficult to find the right colour match, or making sure it doesn’t streak. The Overnight Bronze and Glow Mask is so easy to use because it’s subtle and natural. It leaves me with a more bronzed look so less makeup is required.
Sometimes I go completely sans-makeup when using the mask, but often I ad a dusting of the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder. My shade is 2- Medium, and it acts a little like magic. Just a light application of this powder gives a flawless finish – seriously! It doesn’t look cakey or settle into creases, and it blurs my skin slightly like an amazing filter. LOVE IT!
I can’t go a day without lip gloss, so the final touch is Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Lustre in Candy Darling. This my SHADE! Love this colour – it’s so natural. On the applicator it look so much darker than when applied – it’s such a pretty pink, and goes with everything.
Well that was short and sweet! My summer makeup routine is pretty basic – I add a coat of mascara if I’m feeling fancy, but the bronzed glow with a bit of gloss is perfect for summer!
