Do you ever have one of those expenses come up that remind you that you are an adult? We found out this weekend we need new garage doors, and it’s one of those annoying expenses you don’t see coming! I always think in my head eventually years from now we will need a new roof, or maybe we will need to do some repair work on this and that, but garage doors were not on my radar. Our doors were from the builder and were wood so they have rotted already (in less than 7 years!) so we’ve been shopping for new ones and the price tag for me was a bit shocking!
Obviously I don’t care about the insulation like my husband does – I want to cheap out on that but get pretty ones. The battle continues, but I’m pretty shocked that the doors I want will cost the same amount as a used car. Adulting is hard.
Anyway, this week is filled with more of the same summer fun (playdates, pool days, the boat and general laziness) but my husband and I have a date night at Maison Selby this week so I’m very excited about that!
This pretty sweater is from Urban Outfitters, and I picked it up on my last NYC trip! I wear these sandals so much – Tory Burch makes the comfiest shoes, and I LOVE their Miller sandals. Please excuse my short shorts – it’s all I can find in stores!
