This has been the summer of sunscreen for me! I’m in the midst of a bit of a mole scare, so I’ve been slathering on sunscreen much more than usual. I’ve always tried to be diligent with it, but now more than ever.
It’s hard to believe I have this many on the go, but they all serve different purposes. I’ve tried quite a few more than this last year and this year, but these are my favourites that are must-have’s for me!
1. Vichy Ideal Soleil Sunscreen SPF 50
This is my husbands favourite sunscreen! We took it with us to Bermuda last month, and he used a whole bottle himself! He loves it – he normally burns easily, and this was the first vacation we had where he didn’t burn. It blends easily, and does an amazing job of protecting your skin. I’ve used it as well love it.
2. Ombrelle Kids Sun Protection Lotion SPF 50+
This stuff is so good. Our son has hardly even had a tan using this sunscreen over the summer. It goes on very white, and for some that would be a drawback, but it’s what we love – we want to see where we applied it. It’s been the best we’ve used on our son so far.
3. Ombrelle Face Sun Protection Ultra-Fluid Lotion SPF 60
I hate wearing makeup when I know I’ll be in the sun all day, so this tinted sunscreen is the perfect solution. It’s lightweight, and I haven’t had any breakouts since using it.
4. Bioderma Photoderm Max Spray Spf 50+
Sometimes it’s so much easier to spray sunscreen on! This one not only has a high SPF (there are Bioderma options with lower SPF levels), but it’s easy to rub in. As a spray it has a thicker texture, so you do need to rub it in!
5. Sun Bum Continuous Spray Sunscreen, SPF 30
Although this one has a lower SPF than most of the sunscreens I’ve been using, I’ve kept it on my counter for every day use. If I know I’m going to be in the sun all day I use something stronger, but this one is good just to mist on for every day wear in case I see sun. I love using a spray that I don’t need to rub in too much – it’s easy to just spray and go.
6. SUN Bum Cool Down Continuous Spray Aloe Vera
I’ve tried a few after sun sprays, but this one smells AMAZING and is really refreshing! It’s a great combo with the Sun Bum sunscreen.
I have the MOST sensitive lips on the planet, and I can’t stay in the sun all day without protecting them. This has been the only SPF lip balm I’ve liked well enough to buy more than one! It protects my lips, and it doesn’t irritate them at all.
8. Clinique Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Face Fluid
I first started using Clinique sunscreen during my trip to Bermuda because they were giving it away in the VIP lounge. I love this little compact sunscreen because it fits right into my purse and I can take it everywhere with me.
I hope you find a few here you would love to try too! I know it’s hard finding one you like, and there are quite I few I have bought and didn’t love so it’s nice to have someone make a suggestion.
Have a great (and hopefully sunny) weekend!
