What to Expect at Camp Spooky and Halloween Haunt this Fall!

My favourite time of the year is fall!

I love visiting Canada’s Wonderland during this time of year – so many exciting things are happening!

There is Halloween Haunt, Camp Spooky and I love spending weekends at Canada’s Wonderland in a sweatshirt and jeans enjoying the rides. It’s nice to hang out at the park when it’s not too hot out, especially since we need a break from the weekly school grind.

I’ll start with what Camp Spooky has to offer since it’s where parent’s like me will be spending most of their time this fall!

All of the attractions are scare-free which is perfect for someone like me who has a kiddo that’s a bit of a scaredy cat.

As usual they will have live shows, costume parties, and trick-or-treating, and there are also a few new attractions this year.

This year there is the new Cornstalkers which is a corn maze that has scarecrows and farm animals that help guide you on your way through the maze. Also new is Sally Brown’s Creepy Crafts.

There is also the Enchanted Garden Maze which is glow-in-the-dark, Spirit Manor, the Silent Disco, and pumpkin decorating.

We love to get dressed up for our park visit during this time, especially since the kids can do the Trick-or-Treat adventure and the Lucy Van Pelt Costume Contest and parade!

Snoopy Tales with Snoopy is a cute story time show for the kids, and Charlie Brown’s Trick-or-Treat show is a great way to take a break at the park.

All of the regular rides will be open, and you will also find other interactive shows and activities scared throughout KidZville and Planet Snoopy!

Camp Spooky runs during the daytime on Saturdays and Sundays until October 27th and is included with your park admission.

I LOVE Halloween Haunt! It’s one of my favourite fall things to do. This year my girlfriend and I went, and we had a blast! I think we went on Yukon Striker 4 times and every other ride we wanted to at least a couple of times with almost zero wait!

Did we get scared? Well, yes. The moment you walk in you are greeted by some pretty scary monsters, but it was still alot of fun! It’s now open select nights until October 27th, from 7pm until midnight.

Please note that you are not permitted to enter the park wearing a costume, and Halloween Haunt is not recommend for children under the age of 13.

Some of the really fun highlights of Halloween Haunt are Frontier’s Revenge which is a Gold Rush-themed scare zone, The Freakshow where you can watch the carnival freaks show off their feats of skill, strength and sorcery, and The Illusionist who will try mind games and tricks on you.

The Toxic Party Zone has lasers, lights and music, and Radioactive is an LED Light show we saw some of – it was really cool!

There are all kinds of terrifyling ghouls and goblins roaming the park, and there are so many different haunted houses and mazes that it’s hard to choose what to do.

I love going! The rides always seem so much faster at night, and it’s so fun to see all of the lights and the Halloween Haunt fun down below.

We had the chance to try out some of the Halloween-themed treats from Haunt the night we went, and we were not disappointed!
