I don’t think I’ve ever watched a project more closely than the very much anticipated Thermëa spa village in Whitby!
Once the Thermëa spa village sign appeared in front of the planned site I became more and more excited about this incredible new addition to our town that slated to open in Spring 2021!
There have been some new and exciting developments that I’m so excited to share with you!
Did you know they now have an on-site pop-up boutique? I went to visit this past weekend – until December 23rd it’s open every day from 10:00am to 6:00pm, and December 24th, 26th and 27th it’s open from 11:00am to 4:00pm!
At the pop-up you can purchase one of the Thermëa spa village holiday packages! I honestly can’t think of a better gift for the holidays. How great is this space that they’ve created for the pop-up?
Thermëa spa village in Whitby will take the spa experience and transform it into an entire wellness village. It will have 300 employees, an on-site guest capacity of 700, 25 massage and treatment rooms, and even a 90 person capacity sauna!
Three different culinary experiences will be available including a casual Biergärten overlooking the village, a restaurant with farm-to-table options, and a chill lounge area overlooking the pond. These incredible options range from indoor to outdoor, and I’m excited to try them all – possibly during one visit!
Guests will have access to RFID bracelets which will ensure guest have a seamless experience from booking online to their visit.
Thermëa spa village will have a variety of wellness rituals and treatments including their signature Rhassul mud treatment, and their Himalayan salt inhalation sauna which provides thermotherapy benefits.
I think I’m most excited about the Källa saltwater underground floating pool where you can experience the feeling of weightlessness. The Källa Epsom Salt Treatment is made of a dense solution that minimizes the forces of gravity and allows the body to float effortlessly. I have never been in anything like it, so I’m excited to experience it.

With any purchase of the Signature Package, you will be granted early access to the Thermëa spa village reservation platform.
Obviously there is so much to be excited about when it comes to Whitby’s Thermëa spa village, but I especially love that they have decided to mindfully integrate into the natural surroundings of the area.
I am very much looking forward to escaping so close to home! I’m excited to rejuvenate, go on a culinary journey, and relax only minutes from where I live and work.
