What to See and Do at Canada’s Wonderland’s KidZfest!

Every year we make sure not to miss KidZfest at Canada’s Wonderland, but I have to say this year is better than ever!

There have been some new additions this year, and as soon as we saw them we (and all of the kids around us) were running to check them out! It was a bit of a surprise to see some of the new additions, and we were so happy when we did!

KidZfest runs until August 5th, 2019, and this year you can meet some of your favourite characters and super heroes like Black Panther, Captain America, and the Paw Patrol and Dora the Explorer characters, and at the Playhouse Theatre you can catch shows with Bob the Builder, Thomas & Friends, Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks and more!

The Foam Pit is back again this year, and kids can visit the Silent Disco where they can rock out to their favourite tunes while wearing headphones (this sounds like a parents dream, right?).

We walked right into some very cool activations! First up – Beyblades! My son saw the tent from a mile away, and then we proceeded to stay in the tent for about an hour and a half!

Kids could put together a Beyblade and challenge other’s in different stations. My son signed up for the Beyblade Tournament where the top three winners would walk away with prizes. The kids were loving this station!

Next up we went over to another VERY popular station – Nerf! We both tried out some really cool Nerf guns and had some fun target practice.

The park is decorated just for the festival which is really fun, and I think it’s neat as a Season’s Pass holder who visits often to see what is new and exciting in kidZville during this time of year. We loved that there were a few stations with games like oversized Jenga, and we walked right into the Midway Stage show of Doo Doo the Clown.

Throw in a funnel cake at the end of your visit, and the perfect day with the kids is yours!

As I mentioned KidZfest ends on August 5th, and every day brings different character Meet and Greet’s, and the opportunity to watch different shows that run only during the festival.

To plan your day you can see the whole schedule for KidZfest here!

Don’t forget that Canada’s Wonderland has an amazing fireworks show running this long weekend! At 10pm on Sunday, August 4th you can catch the fireworks show (it has more than 6,000 fireworks and is set to music!), plus at the park you can catch The Chinese Acrobats, Tundra: A Cirque Experience, the Flying Frontenacs and the Victoria Falls High Divers.
