I know, we really shouldn’t complain about this hot weather! When it gets too hot, we try to cool down somewhere where we can swim. We have been going to Canada’s Wonderland since the season started in May, but this July we started heading into Splash Works to beat the heat!

There is so much to see and do in Splash Works that you could spend a whole day there! It’s a waterpark that has everything from a wave pool, cabanas, splash pads, water slides, food and shopping. The best part is that it’s all a part of your general admission to the park or Season’s Pass!

My son is 7 so we normally stick to the Lakeside Lagoon with it’s smaller waterslides and splashing area, but now that he’s getting a bit older he was stepping outside of his comfort zone to check out more of the waterpark this year!

For those parents with swimmers that aren’t the strongest, there are multiple lifejacket stations to outfit your child so you only need to worry about bringing your swimsuit!

If you forget anything, there is a shop inside the Splash Works zone that has everything from flip flops, rash guards, towels and sunscreen which is convenient!

The Pump House is definitely more of my son’s speed – he loves watching that giant bucket fill up with water before it crashes onto everyone below!

For the more adventurous there is the The Black Hole, Muskoka Plunge, and Riptide Racer! We went to Splash Works on one of the hottest days of the week and it felt so good to dip our toes in the water, and then get soaked when we were getting too hot.

We are all about the food, so when we saw that there was a Beaver Tails truck inside of Splash Works we were so excited! There are also lots of other food stations like Subway, Dockside Grill, and Pizza Pizza to choose from for lunch and dinner.

We’ve been having a blast with our Canada’s Wonderland Season’s Pass, and access to Splash Works is one of the many perks of being a card holder!

I love that we can visit the park as often as we’d like, so if we want to spend a day just hanging out at Splash Works we don’t mind, because we can come back anytime to enjoy the rides.
