Black Cape – Lavish Alice | Leather Skirt – Forever 21 | Fringed Shoes – Steve Madden | Broach – Chanel | Clutch – Chanel

Can I tell you how much I loved feeling like a superhero in this amazing cape! For my first Toronto Fashion Week look I chose this pretty black Lavish Alice cape top, and I paired it with my leather skirt from Forever 21.

My new fringed Steve Madden cobalt blue shoes are so comfortable, and I love all of the fringe. There is so much fringe!!

Finally I finished off the outfit with my coveted Chanel broach and my quilted Chanel clutch.

I normally don’t like wearing all black, but when a cape and some bright blue shoes are involved, black works for me!

Stay tuned for a couple more of Toronto Fashion Week looks coming this week!

Making My Domestic Life A Breeze with Clorox Disinfecting ToiletWand Toilet Cleaning System & Refills

Making My Domestic Life A Breeze with Clorox Disinfecting ToiletWand Toilet Cleaning System & Refills

There’s one topic that I have never covered on the blog, and it’s actually an unexpected one since I’m a lifestyle blogger! I’ve never talked about cleaning. And why you might ask? Well, it’s not exactly my favourite topic!

Let me give you an idea on how I feel about the subject – when my soon-to-be husband and I bought our first house, one of my first panicked thoughts was “does moving in together mean I need to do grown up things like clean the sinks and scrub toilets?”.

Unfortunately the answer to that question I learned was yes, but let me tell you it’s something I don’t enjoy or excel at in any way!

My least favourite thing to clean is the toilet, which is why I was so happy to say goodbye to my old toilet brush and give the new Clorox Disinfecting ToiletWand Toilet Cleaning System and Refills a try!

Making My Domestic Life A Breeze with Clorox Disinfecting ToiletWand Toilet Cleaning System & Refills

The new Clorox Disinfecting ToiletWand Toilet Cleaning System is perfect for a girl like me who gets squeamish around those old gross toilet brushes. Each starter kit comes with one Disinfecting ToiletWand Handle, a storage caddy, and 6 disposable cleaning head refills.

The storage caddy is sleek and looks so much better in my bathroom than my old toilet brush!

The wand clicks right into the cleaning heads stored inside the caddy, then all I need to do is scrub my toilet and toss away the cleaning head. I don’t even need to get my manicure dirty because the cleaning head pops off with the push of a button, and the handle stores back into the caddy.

When it comes to cleaning the word “easy” comes to mind as one my main priorities, and the Clorox Disinfecting ToiletWand Toilet Cleaning System is just that. Each cleaning head is pre-loaded with Clorox toilet bowl cleaner which removes stains and kills 99% of germs and bacteria. Thats one more extra cleaning product I don’t need to store in my home since it’s all included in this kit!

Dare I say I actually enjoyed cleaning my toilet with this new product from Clorox? I actually did find it kind of fun since it was quick, easy, and it was likely the first time I cleaned my toilets without a complaint.

If you are looking to replace your old dingy toilet brush with something sleek and easy-to-use, you need to give the Clorox Disinfecting Toilet Wand Toilet Cleaning System a try. It’s changed the way I think about cleaning!

You can find this product at Walmart, Loblaws, Superstore, Dominion, Fortunes, Proviso, Yig, Zehrs, Extra Foods, and RCWC.

Floral Dress – H&M | Suede Over the Knee Boots – Forever 21 {Sold out – Similar} | Purse – Chanel

While I realize it’s not quite spring yet (especially since snow has been falling around here this week), I still think it’s time to inject a little bit of spring into my wardrobe! Just a few short months ago I was so excited to layer sweaters, vests, scarves and jackets, but now I’d give anything to wear just one of those layers.

I’m starting to think about what my spring wardrobe will look like, and one of the main staples will be floral patterns. This dress is from H&M, and it’s the perfect transition piece between winter and spring because the dress has longer sleeves and a great lining to keep me warm, but bright flowers to bring some colour and a hint of spring to the outfit.

I’m also starting to wear more white and shades of nude to brighten up my wardrobe a for the season change. I’m not ready for shorts and miniskirts yet, but until it’s warm enough I’m going to start bringing more floral pattern’s into my outfits as the months get warmer.

Have you noticed that many stores are starting to bring out their bathing suits, beach cover-up’s and sandals into the floor? It’s a sign that spring break is coming, and it reminds me that I can start thinking about putting those heavy sweaters away very soon!

What are you doing to get ready for spring when it comes to your wardrobe? Or are you not thinking about it at all? Let me know in the comments!

Sweater – Du North | Leggings – Du North {similar} | Boots – Call it Spring | Bag – Louis Vuitton

This past week was absolutely freezing, and so keeping warm has been a top priority when I’ve been heading out the door lately. Sometimes it’s difficult to look great while avoiding frostbite! I love the way this Du North Hot Pink Selfie Cardigan looks, feels, and they way it drapes! It’s perfect to wear with leggings because it covers everything that needs to be covered (because contrary to popular opinion, I believe that leggings are not pants!), and I love the print! The bonus was that it was very warm to wear on an extremely cold weekend.

The leggings I’m wearing are also from Du North, and I really liked the faux leather patch above the knees to makes these leggings a bit more interesting.

Du North Designs is based out of Alberta, and they have clothing that is both affordable and stylish. My favourite combination! They have a huge selection of leggings in all kinds of patterns, and they also have a selection of tops, sweaters, accessories, maternity and plus size clothing, and a range of children’s clothing.

I paired the outfit with my new ankle booties from Call it Spring, and one of my classic Louis Vuitton Speedy bags to complete the look.

The only thing missing? Milder temperatures! This sweater really was keeping me warm in those negative temperatures luckily, but I think I’m ready for the temperatures to get slightly warmer!

Have a great week everyone!
