Oversized Camel Coloured Vest: Sirens, also found here and here | Black Skinny Jeans: H&M | Lace Up Heels: Zaful | Bag: Louis Vuitton

I had been looking for a vest or jacket in this great camel colour for a long time, and was so excited when I finally found it! This vest is everything. I love the length, the cut that gives the illusion of ruffles, and you won’t believe the price. It was $29.99! It’s a great warm fabric and looks great, and for that price I was a very happy shopper. I was very surprised where I found it as well – the Sirens store at Yorkdale!

I often pick up sweaters in the winter at Sirens, but not often dress clothes like this. It’s the perfect fall vest to keep me warm and cozy, and on a sunny day like this when I was wearing it I was cool enough when it was warm in the afternoon since it was a vest. I am sure I can layer a long sleeved shirt or sweater for the cooler months as well.

And… this is my new favourite outfit! You will probably see me in it a few times this fall and winter. I really hope I can find a great jacket this winter in the same colour!

Jacket: Winners, similar here and here | Faux Leather Trainers: H&M | Black Skinny Jeans: H&M

Transitioning into fall for me means lots of sweaters and light jackets. The mornings are cold, but the afternoons warm up and I’m usually sweating to death, so layering is key. One of my favourite trends from last year was leather accents, and I’ve added another jacket to my wardrobe with this in mind.

This jacket is great for cool mornings in the fall, or chilly evenings with light clothing underneath. In the winter I find I go to a lot of events where I sometimes end up keeping my jacket on, so one like this made of light-weight materials is perfect. I can wear this jacket as my outfit itself (I could totally wear pyjamas underneath), and because it so light I won’t be suffering from heat stroke underneath it.

For only $49.99 at Winners, this jacket was a no-brainer. It’s stylish, trendy for fall, and the perfect price point! How often do you find a great jacket like this that is the same price of a sweater?

I’ll be looking for more lightweight jackets to add to my wardrobe as the season goes on, especially ones with a leather embellishment.

The Horizon Trend with Graham & Brown

Graham & Brown Horizon Trend

This month, as a Graham & Brown Ambassador, I’ve created a mood board with the Horizon trend in mind.

Horizon is the fluid movement of design, the sense that something special is about to happen; forecasting your hopes and dreams for your interior. This trend is all about introducing tranquil tones, adding waves of subtle colour and luxury textures to your home,” – The Horizon Trend

This trend inspires design with how nature and surrounding sights from travel can influence home decor.

In our home we are always planning our next travel adventure, and in the winter I am planning on heading to New York City for a weekend getaway. With this trip in mind, I’ve created a room centred around the city.

I have been to New York City quite a few times already, and some of the Graham and Brown decor items bring back memories of past trips to NYC.

In our home we tend to include items from our world travels, or bring in a theme from countries we have visited, but so far no room in our home reflects my love of New York City. My mood board reflects my design inspiration for a new room in my home.

Something as simple as this Checker Black wallpaper reminds me of the modern design normally found in NYC highrises.

More obvious New York City touches include this New York City-themed pillow which includes it’s famous landscapes and streets.

This Brooklin Bridge Structure wall art has one of the more iconic landmarks of NYC in monochrome to continue with the theme and landscape of the city.

I really thought the industrial look of this Cogsworth clock followed the scheme of the room, and reminded me of exposed brick lofts and apartments with an unfinished look in the city.

I think my love of New York City and the design landscape there is reflected with much of what I have found at Graham & Brown. I’m inspired to redecorate now!

Dommed Cropped Trouser: Club Monaco | Ribbed Sweater Tank: Found in store at Club Monaco, similar here | Shoes: Zaful

I don’t often dress my age, so when I do I feel like I am pretending to be a grownup. I’m the one always checking to make sure my skirt isn’t too short before heading to parent/teacher interviews, and making sure that I’m not wearing track pants that say something on the butt before heading to a play date. Sometimes I try to dress like a parent, or how a parent should dress in my head.

It’s very rare I buy dress pants, let alone trousers, so they had to be pretty special. These cropped trousers from Club Monaco are a great alternative to a dress because they look great with heels, and because of that they look elevated in style over a regular-length style of trousers.

The cropped top is very conservative and just seems to look appropriate somehow with these pants. Normally a crop top is very casual, but because of the high neck and material of the tank, it seems like it compliments the pants and is probably the dressiest way I can think of to wear a crop top. The high waist on the pant definitely helps as well in making the outfit more stylish.

I really love this outfit, especially since it is a little different than what I would normally wear! It is very comfortable, and it’s a great outfit for fall because of the lightweight materials in the tank and pants. I think the pants will look great with a sweater tucked into them as well!

Blanket Scarf: Dynamite | Bucket Bag: Dynamite | Riding Boots: Michael Kors {similar}

If you are looking for a great investment bag for the season, the bucket bag is your best bet.

It’s versatile because it’s roomy but at the same time looks great, and is a very trendy accessory. I am pretty sure I actually had this style of bag back when I was 14 which is pretty funny. Actually, I really wish I saved it! I love the color of this one from Dynamite.

Last year I bought a similar blanket scarf to this one I’m wearing, but again I fell in love with this pattern and had to have it (this one is from Dynamite). I would be scared to count how many blanket scarves I actually own.

I’ve also dressed up this bag for a night out and it looks great with a less casual look as well. It’s the perfect bag for fall!
