Dressing up the The Wifey Favourite Tee From deighan design

I’ve already been a bride, but like most girls I’m still pretty fascinated with the whole wedding process. I still watch the programs on finding the perfect dress, still check out wedding dresses in boutique windows, and I often think about how I would have loved having “this” or “that” when I got married.

I had seen the Wifey Favourite Tee from deighan design online, and I loved it.

It can be dressed up or dressed down, but I knew I wanted to dress it up with my favourite tulle skirt from Space 46 Boutique.

In these photos I’m wearing a size small and it fit perfectly, but it is definitely a slim fit style shirt.

How cute is this shirt? It would be a great gift for a bride to be, or anyone who’s married.

deighan design also has some pretty fabulous wedding accessories like these personalized hangers – where were these when I got married? I would have loved to have one!

Their personalized hangers and cake toppers are actually created by hand which was pretty impressive! Otherwise many items are ready to ship, but lots of things can also be personalized.

They have everything from personalized bridal party robes, to bachelorette party accessories!

My Dixie Outlet Mall Shopping Experience for the She Who Hunts Finds Blogger Challenge

image

It was a rough weekend working on the blog – I had to go shopping! I am not allowed to show you what I got, but I am at least allowed to show you my shopping bags!

I gave myself an hour to get to the mall, and made it there in about 50 minutes from Whitby which wasn’t bad!

I had two hours to shop before the mall closed, and I almost didn’t have enough time because I kept getting off track. I knew what I was shopping for, but then I saw so many other things I decided I “needed”.

To prep for the She Hunts She Finds Blogger Challenge, I created a mood board for my outfit inspiration. Before I do a specific outfit shop I always pull images from online or from magazines to remember what sort of theme my outfit should have.

As you can see my theme was florals because it’s such a big trend for spring right now. I really wanted to find something very girly.

I made sure I had a comfy outfit on to shop in, and I was on my way!

While I was at the mall I had A LOT of store options for where to shop. Tommy Hilfiger, Danier, Aeropostale, Guess, Aldo, Nine West – too many to name, and they were all outlets!

I had $200 to spend as part of challenge, and I really did need that calculator to spend everything I had. From what I purchased, I saved a lot because of all the deals happening at the mall. I can’t wait to share my outfit next week along with my savings.

Dixie Outlet Mall is also doing a great contest every Thursday where you have to guess which store an item is from. If you guess correctly you could win that item! Click here to learn more.

My Favourite from ShopTheExhibit.com

I posted earlier this week about The Exhibit and one of the amazing pieces they sent me – the Melissa Layered necklace.

The other piece they sent me was one I actually didn’t choose myself, but I ended up absolutely loving it! I wanted a necklace called the Crystal Aztec Bib, but instead the Crystal Rio Bib ($55 CDN) was suggested, and I am so glad it’s mine.

This necklace is gorgeous. The quality is outrageous, and the colors are so fun. I was worried about what to wear with it, but once it arrived I realized the colors went with much of my wardrobe.

I ended up wearing I for a lovely night out in Las Vegas to the Wynn where we had dinner and saw Le Reve. It thought it went perfect with this dress and shoes courtesy of Charlotte Russe.

The necklace has some weight to it, but it wasn’t so heavy that I noticed during the night, or that my neck hurt. It just felt like it had some value compared to some of my other jewelry pieces.

The “She Who Hunts Finds” Blogger Challenge!

Dixie_Blog_Post1 (2)

I love a good challenge, and when it comes to a shopping challenge I am always game! Dixie Outlet Mall is challenging a number of GTA bloggers to see how much they can save!

I’ve been provided with a $200 gift card to Dixie Outlet Mall, and my challenge is to build an amazing spring outfit, and to save as much as possible!

Dixie Outlet Mall is an ultimate destination for deal-hunters like myself.

This week I will be heading to Dixie Outlet Mall (located at 1250 South Service Road in Mississauga) to get my shop on, and I will be blogging about my “hunt” for the perfect spring outfit, and again about what I have put together.

I LOVE outlet shopping! To me it means I get to buy MORE of everything. Once I start saving money, I have more money to spend, and having more for less makes me a happy girl. Dixie Outlet Mall has over 135 stores, and some of my favourites include Winners, Nine West (my favourite shoes!), Guess and Boathouse.

I actually used to work at Boathouse and Winners during my “I’m-so-broke” university days, and working at those stores greatly contributed to my lack of funds (along with the whole university is expensive thing).

Anyway, back to my happy place – shopping! I will be getting my shop on this weekend, and next week I will let you know what is going on at the mall, and give you a bit of a preview of my purchases.

Stay tuned for more details, and a big finale post that will give you a chance to get your shop on as well!

Getting Glam With The Exhibit Jewelry

I’m such an accessories girl. My closet is overflowing with more scarves, purses, bracelets, rings and necklaces then all of my clothes. I love buying statement pieces to build an outfit around. I sort of work backwards – I find a great necklace, then the clothes to complement it.

Last week The Exhibit allowed me to choose two pieces from their website to style for the blog. They had perfect timing because I recieved my package the day before I left for sunny Las Vegas!

The Exhibit is a Toronto-based ecommerce jewlery destination which ships worldwide. All of the pieces from The Exhibit are curated and designed for stylish women looking to make a statement with their jewlery.

The Exhibit is having their official public site launch on May 1st, but you can get VIP access to shop their collections early by emailing them at info@shoptheexhibit.com to get the password. They have an early access sale happening NOW where you can receive 20% off of your purchase as well!

Not only are some of the pieces designed and made here in Canada, but The Exhibit’s designer also creates custom pieces as well! Email info@shoptheexhibit.com to talk about custom orders.

I chose two necklaces – the Melissa Layered Necklace ($26.00 CDN) which I am featuring in this post, and later this week I will talk about the Crystal Rio Bib necklace.

Let’s talk about how this jewlery arrived – in style! How freaking adorable is this packaging! All packages should be shipped with this much fabulousness and care.

The Melissa Layered Necklace is all on one chain which is awesome because I often try to layer necklaces, and throughout the day I am always fixing them so the clasps are all behind my neck. This necklace has only one clasp to deal with, and the longer chain balances the necklace so it stays in place.

The quality is beautiful – this isn’t one of those necklaces with a thin coating that will tarnish after wearing it a couple times! I love this necklace, and if you know me you will probably be seeing a lot of it over the summer.

I paired it with my gold and suede fringed sandals from H&M, and my flowered romper from Forever 21.
