After a couple weeks of summer weather I’m trying to remind myself not to complain about the heat! It’s been SO hot, but really we’ve been trying to enjoy it by hanging out at the lake or in the pool at our gym.
Our first couple weeks of summer have been so crazy busy with play dates, Canada’s Wonderland visits, trips to the zoo, and weekends at the boat.
We have so many things going on I’m trying to make sure I fit in the things we really wanted to do this summer like taking a baking class with my son, and a few day trips for some fun adventures.
Usually in the summer we head away to Niagara for a trip, along with Prince Edward County so we are trying to organize that now. We also have a trip to Cape Cod coming up which I am SO excited about! Otherwise most of our adventures will come in the fall which will be fun.
Lazy summer days means my hair is normally curly and I’m in cutoff shorts, but it also means lot’s of date nights and evenings when we can stay up because we are getting up later the next day!
I can’t get enough of dinner’s on patios and fun nights out with friends. This dress is perfect with everything I’ve mentioned – it’s a little too fancy for errand running (I’ll save the yoga pants for that!), but it’s great for summer nights with my husband and friends.
Tomorrow I’m finally getting my hair done which is LONG overdue, and we have family photos on Friday! I try not to stress them too much – sometimes my son smiles on command, and sometimes he doesn’t! I’m over bribing him – hopefully he just cooperates, and if he doesn’t then I’ll just photo shop him out! I’m joking – I’ll just photo shop his smile in. Ok, he’d better smile!
