I love having a personal touch to the decor of my Christmas tree! I love carefully choosing ornaments to suit not only my own style, but to fit in my family home and decor.
This year I put up not just one tree, but two trees in my home! My newest tree is pre-lit and it looks so pretty in our home! I will have a post up soon so you can see it yourself – it’s gorgeous!
One of the things I wanted to do this year was personalize some of the ornaments on our tree, so I decided to use ornaments from the Canadian Tire CANVAS collection to put together this little project! I knew I needed ornaments to match my theme in gold tones, and I found this pack here along with a few more for my project.
I decided to use my Cricut machine for this project – I used some of the letter patterns to write initials and holiday words to add a personal touch to my ornaments. I printed out each word on sticker paper which I just needed to cut out and add to each ornament.
This project was so easy to do – I loved the simple colour schemes of the CANVAS ornaments. I could easily add the stickers to the ornaments to make them personal for our tree.
My son loved seeing an ornament with the first letter of his name because he knew it was for him! It’s nice to be able to say that I not only chose some beautiful ornaments for my tree, but I was able to add a special touch to each one to make them our own.
