When you have a polished look like this, you always have to make sure it’s seen! I hate wearing an amazing outfit and randomly enough that day I don’t end up seeing anyone, and my outfit feels wasted. As vain as that seems, sometimes when you are loving your look you just want to show it off.

Where do I even start with this outfit? I love each piece individually, but it looks so good as a whole.

I suppose my favorite piece is the long wine-coloured coat. As I tried this on in the store I watched two other people buy it – it’s the perfect layering piece for fall. It comes in a few more colours as well, and I love how it brings this whole look together. I especially love long coats with shorter skirts. Speaking of skirts, this suede pencil skirt has such a cute braided detail to make it that much more interesting. It has a big of a higher waist so I tucked my lavender blouse into it so the outfit looked a bit more polished.

These booties are SO comfortable! I have a few pairs that have a looser fit at the ankle, so it was a nice contrast to try these ones with a peep toe and snug fit. I’ve already worn them with two other outfits!

I paired this look with a simple black clutch (whenever I wear a dressier look I always reach for a clutch instead of a handbag), and these great sunnies to finish off the look.

It’s been hard with the weather because the mornings are so cold, but the afternoons heat up, only to have everything cool down drastically again at night. Wearing a layered look including this coat means I can easily remove or add a layer as this crazy weather changes.

If there is a colour I want to wear lots of this fall, it’s definitely plum. I need a pair of boots in this colour as well – it would look amazing with some of my grey sweater dresses.

I hope you are having a great week so far! I had the Nordstrom Gala last night so I’m a little tired, and dreaming of the weekend!

Would love if you posted the cost of each item in your review. I have a limited budget so I want to know what is affordable for me. No point in loving a piece when it is not feasible to buy it. I understand that you are not hampered by that being a fashion blogger but it would be great info for the rest of us.

Hi Shelley! I did try to do that in the past, but the issue was that things would go on sale and I would get a lot of messages to update my posts! I’ll keep your feedback in mind when I post though – maybe I can chat more about what I paid when writing the post! Thanks for reading!
