Variations of this skirt have been popping up for a couple years, now, but I just love the original suede button-down version. I have many less skirts in my closet than I do dresses, mostly because I feel like they are more complicated. That’s just how I FEEL anyway – for me dresses have always just been an easier outfit choice because you can just add accessories and go. Skirts just need a little help on top, and once I put this cute one on I realize I need to make more of an effort and add to my collection.

This top is actually a crop-top but this skirt sits high so it fits just right and I don’t need to worry about tucking it in. I love these over-the-knee boots but they have loosened at the top so I just bought a brand new pair of Steve Madden boots to replace these ones.

My new leather jacket has been with me a lot this fall because it goes with everything! Since I picked it up a month ago it’s probably been the most used item in my closet.

It’s an extra short week for me – I’m heading to New York Friday morning so I have to jam-pack these next couple days. Having the holiday on Monday was great but I literally did nothing but socialize and cook! Not a bad weekend at all, but I’m pretty tired of seeing turkey. Packing lunches for my hubby and son were pretty easy today though – they both had cold turkey and apple pie! It’s so hard to get back into a groove after a long weekend, so luckily I have a fun night out planned tonight so I can pretend like I’m still enjoying the holidays.

Side note – I can’t believe it’s October! I really need to find a Pikachu costume for a toddler in the next couple weeks, so if anyone sees one in the Toronto area or Durham, please let me know so I can go grab it! I have a toddler who is desperate to be one – especially since I already bought one for our dog to match!
