This Weekend’s AGO All Hours Event!

This Weekend's AGO All Hours Event!

I was so excited to hear the big news the AGO released last week – starting May 25th, the AGO is now free for visitors aged 25 and under! For those of us over the age of 25, an annual pass is only $35 which I think is very affordable!

This initiative makes me so happy because I think the AGO is such an amazing place to visit. We were there during March Break, and my son loved spending the day there! We are always looking for fun things to do during the summer, and this is the perfect solution for those days that we want to do something special.

To celebrate that visitors can go to the AGO for free if aged 25 and under AND to celebrate the opening Canada’s first Yayoi Kusama Infinity Mirror Room there is an event this Saturday, May 25th called AGO All Hours! Starting at 10:30am and ending at 1:00am, AGO All Hours will feature art making activities, performances, talks, food, drinks and more!

AGO All Hours will include special art installations, musical and dance performances, and the opening of Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrored Room – Let’s Survive Together.

For the kids there will be children’s shadow puppets and mask making, inflatable sculptures, a drop-in drawing studio, dance lessons, friendship bracelet making, glow stick art, and so much more!

You will find the AGO’s take on block party favorites like ice cream and hot dogs, as well as pop-up wine and beer stations.

The event is all ages, and the event lasts all day long so it’s easy to pop in and see what’s happening! This will be the first day of the free admission for those visitors 25 and under, so it’s a great way to celebrate!

If you are looking to purchase a pass for yourself if you are over the age of 25 it can be easily saved digitally on your phone which I think is genius, and you can purchase it online here!

You can find the schedule for the AGO All Hours here and it lays out what is happening in the morning, afternoon and night so you can plan your day.

We can’t wait to spend time at the AGO this upcoming summer break, and on the weekends throughout the year! It’s a great place to take kids for a fun day out, or an awesome date night idea to do something a little different!

Thank you to the AGO for partnering with me on this post!
