The hard part about my wedding anniversary is that it‘s less than a month away from my husband’s birthday. If you have a couple important events in close proximity where a little fanfare is involved such as this, you know that gifting can be especially difficult.
To decide what my husband would like to receive the most I consult the utmost high authority on the subject – my five year old son. This kid is smart, and straight to the point. He will tell me if a gift is not right with the crinkle of his cute little nose, and although he blurts out a few gift ideas that are a little out of my budget (you know, like a helicopter), he is usually right on with knowing what someone wants.
When I said what would Daddy love as a gift this year he said “I know, a watch! He loves watches. All Dad’s do.”. I mean, shouldn’t I have known the answer without asking?
You’ve seen a few Bulova posts here on the blog before – my husband and I don’t wear any other brand of watch. I actually didn’t have a watch until my first Bulova. Their watches look more like a gorgeous piece of jewelry, so how can I resist?
I’m wearing the new Bulova women’s Rubaiyat watch in rose gold-tone stainless steel with a blue spinel Cabochon crown, and 50 diamonds that make my wrist sparkle. I’ve actually caught someone’s eye in the sunlight with the sparkle from my watch – sorry for the distraction, but it’s just one of those pieces!
My husband loved the idea of the Men’s Curv Chronograph Watch – this watch has the world’s first curved chronograph movement. It has high-performance quartz technology with 262 kHv vibrational frequency for precise accuracy. Basically anytime someone asks him the time he feels it’s necessary to tell them just how precise his watch is at telling time!
I love that my rose gold watch matches the rose gold accents on my husbands watch – they pair so well together!
I am absolutely dreading daylight savings in a week, but at least when I check the time over and over after the change I’ll be looking at the prettiest timepiece!
