This week has been a little busier than usual because I’m throwing my son a birthday party this weekend – the first one in two years! I tend to go a little crazy on his birthday parties, but I started planning when we were still in lockdown so I have a small guest list which is great. I’ve decided to make the cake myself so that’s a little stressful, but otherwise everything is ready to go!
We also have a full week of soccer which is making things a little busy, but I feel a lot better today about the party this weekend then I did a couple days ago.
What is shocking to me this week is how amazing the weather is. I actually wasn’t ready for it to be this hot! I actually went for a run outside a couple of times this week which was nice. Well, other than the actual running part – I’d prefer to walk! – but it was nice to take my run outside rather than on the treadmill.
The mad rush of summer coming up and I’m trying to plan a few trips for our family. The warm weather is making me feel like I’m running out of time!
Jeans are definitely still the way to go most days, and this pretty shirt is going to look so cute with shorts as well! I love embroidered dresses and tops – this one has cute tassels on the side to synch the waist on this top as well.
Wish me luck – it’s going to be a fun party this weekend, but hopefully everything goes to plan!
